Happy Friday! We got back from the beach yesterday afternoon. We have a busy three days coming up with two swim meets, two more swim events, and some birthday parties. Today’s favorites are things that I thought “Man, I love this” when I used it recently. It’s a random list, but it is a good one. I’m linking up with Erika and Andrea to share.

Favorite 1: BOOKS!! I love reading on my kindle Paperwhite on vacation. I can bring hundreds of books with me and not have to carry anything bigger than my kindle. I have a 7th generation kindle Paperwhite and the only thing I would like to upgrade is the waterproof feature. I haven’t had any close calls with water yet, but I am sure it will happen sometime.

I read two books while we were at the beach. I read The Newcomer by Mary Kay Andrews and The Last Thing He Told Me by Laura Dave. I love that I can count on MKA for a beachy mystery that won’t scare me. This was the first Laura Dave book that I’ve read and it won’t be the last.

Favorite 2: KINDLE CASE!! Jeff gave me this kindle case for Christmas and I love it. I love that it has an elastic strap on the back to slip my hand through. I really love that it has an easel on the back. When I am laying on my stomach on the beach, I can prop my book up and it’s so much easier to read.

Favorite 3: PURA VIDA!! My sweet friend Jodi introduced me to pura vida bracelets and necklaces. I love them!! The bracelets are so summery and match so many of my clothes! Jodi also gave me this ocean wave necklace. I love it! Yesterday I wore it as we were leaving the beach because it felt like I was taking the ocean with me.

Favorite 4: SUN BUM!! I use Sun Bum 3-in-1 hair product every day, and so do my boys. I picked up the pineapple lip sunscreen because I am a sucker for anything pineapple and I am so glad I did. I love the way it smells and tastes if I happen to get a bit in my mouth.

Favorite 5: FEETURES!! I love Feetures socks to run in. I got a new pair last week because Jack has decided that he also loves to run and play golf in Feetures socks. They are so soft and supportive. They hug my arches so perfectly!

Favorite 6: SWIG!! I took 3 Swig cups to the beach every single day. I took the 32 ounce tumbler for water and kept refilling it. I took the 22 ounce tumbler for Diet Cokes. I took the 14 ounce wine cup for beers on the beach. I’ve loved the Naturdays pink beers for a while, but this year Natural Light upped their game. They have yellow pineapple beers now and they are so yummy! I had one (or more) every afternoon on the beach and it was perfect!

Favorite 7: TURKISH TOWEL!! I took my Turkish towel to the beach because it is so much lighter and smaller to carry around. I like to have a barrier between me and my chair because it’s easier to clean sand out of the chair that way. This towel is perfect for that. It is also great for cleaning off my sunglasses when they get salty or smudgy.

Favorite 8: SLEEP AID FAN!! This app is a major favorite. We use it just about every single place we go. My kids sleep with white noise every night so when we go somewhere new (hotel, beach house, etc.) it helps them sleep and it drowns out any outside noises. There are three different fan sounds and three different volumes.

Favorite 9: ROMPER!! I loved this romper when I bought it in the spring and I really love it now. I wore it down to the beach in stripes and home from the beach in black. It was perfect for packing, unpacking, and running a few errands around town. This romper is so soft and it was really comfortable to travel in.

That’s my list of things I loved while I was using them this week. By the time most of you read this I will be in Virginia with Luke for his first long course swim meet. We have our last summer swim meet on Saturday morning and our swim team banquet Saturday night. I am so excited to have very few obligations next week because the Olympics officially start tonight so I will be glued to the coverage. Have a great weekend full of sunshine and books!
