Hello Monday – 6/7/21

Happy Monday! We had a great weekend! Jack had a baseball tournament about 2.5 hours away in a lake resort town. They didn’t play until 3 pm on Saturday so we had a bunch of time to enjoy the town.

My mom gave me this bag and it is so true!
Weekends like this with the 4 of us make me so happy!
Our view on Saturday morning. Up and at ‘em and ready to go!

My sister and brother-in-law gave the boys fishing rods for Christmas and they were so excited to use them. We met up with some kids from the team and went fishing. They loved it and kept asking to go fishing at any free moment the rest of the weekend.

Jack’s team played two games Saturday afternoon. They lost both but Jack played really well. This tournament was on another lake and it was GORGEOUS!! The field was in front of us and the lake was behind us. The day was HOT HOT HOT so we went back to the place for carryout and showers.

Looking forward and…

Back at it during Jack’s warmups. Luke loves fishing!

We walked across the street to Lakeside Creamery for some delicious ice cream before heading to bed early.

There was a gorgeous evening sky right outside our window!!

**Side note: My kids are always early risers. They are up in the 6s most mornings and very rarely sleep until 8 am.**

Good morning!!

Jack didn’t have to be at the field until 9 so we had plenty of time in the morning. Jack wanted to go fishing after breakfast, so we walked across the street to a dock. It was so peaceful and great to spend some time hanging out with Jack.

Jack’s team had to be there at least an hour early on Sunday morning. Luke and I found a great playground and a path to entertain ourselves. He’s the best tournament little brother around! Luke cheers on the team and entertains himself the whole time!

His team won their first game! Woohoo! We had about an hour and half in between games so we dashed home to eat some lunch, cool off, and pack up.

Go 00!!

They played really well in the second game but didn’t win. Even though a championship would’ve been great, it was nice to hit the road and get home at a decent hour.

We got home a little before 7 pm. Everyone grabbed some dinner, showered, and headed to bed. I started laundry, got ready for the week, and headed to bed myself.

This is our last five day week of school and I know it’s going to be busy. I have a full week planned here too! Two Tuesday book posts, our summer bucket list on Wednesday, a summery Thursday, and Friday Favorites to round out the week. I’m not sure what I was thinking with this plan on the last five day week, but we’ll see how it goes. Have a great day full of sunshine and books!

That looks like a fabulous weekend!! My kids are very early risers too; even now as teens it’s rare for them to sleep past 6.
