Hello Monday – 3/22/21

Happy Monday! I could use another weekend to get ready for the week ahead! We had a great weekend and I’m sharing it in pictures.

Friday evening: Swim meet session 1 ✔️ The boys had their first swim meet in over a year! They’ve been doing time trials each month at our pool, but this was their first meet. They crushed it!
I also managed to get my first pedicure since June (?!?) to get ready for the first day of Spring.
Luke had a soccer tournament this weekend. His first game was at 8 so we watched the sunrise on the way. It was beautiful!
8 am games are still pretty chilly in March. Luke had frost on his eyelashes before warmups!!
Game 1 – win!! Way to go buddy!
It was CHILLY and it felt good to get in the car and pump the heat.
Our library is open for limited services. I was so excited to pick up a few books and browse the shelves for some books for Jack.
Parents aren’t allowed in the swim meet if they aren’t volunteering. I timed on Friday, but Jeff and I went for a nice long walk and cheered the boys on from my minivan mobile office. I’ve been spending a lot of time in my mobile office lately.

Great swims buddies!!
When I was walking at the meet on Sunday, I noticed that all the trees are starting to sprout! Spring is on its way!
Apparently my mobile office has a patio – the parking lot! 😂 It was too beautiful to sit in the car on Sunday while Jack was swimming!
My mobile office’s patio could use a little table or something to hold the meet program.
Meet session 3 ✔️ Way to go Jack! 8 swims and 8 best times!! Now get in the car quickly so we can go watch your brother’s championship soccer game!
Luke’s team won their tournament! He was so excited!
We are so proud of our Luke! Way to go buddy!

After this weekend, I am so happy that I have a comfy car I love because I spent a lot of time in it! I am also so happy the boys had such a great swim meet. This is the first meet they’ve had since February 202 and they’ve been working so hard in the pool. This was quite a busy start to the spring sports season, but I wouldn’t change it for the world.     I’m sorry you can’t go in the meets! It does sound like you and your car are bonding! I heard a podcast at the beginning of the pandemic where the host suggested always keeping a folding chair in your car to socially distance if needed.

    I just pulled out my flip flops about 5 minutes ago and want to paint my nails tonight. We have been noticing lots of buds on our trees but not actual sprouting yet.
