In A Holidaze by Christina Lauren

I shared that I was reading this book in last month’s SUYB post. I thought it was great! It started a little slow for me, but I found myself routing for the characters and I was a little sad it was over! This was another great book by the author duo Christina Lauren!

Christmas Ever After by Karen Schaler

This was another great Karen Schaler Christmas book. It reads just like a Hallmark movie, which is exactly what I was was looking for. That just may be because she has written Hallmark movies. 😉

The Twelve Dates of Christmas by Jenny Baylis

This book was so cute! It is the story of a girl and her best friend. They are most definitely in love with each other but neither one is willing to commit to it. So, he watches her go on 12 blind dates with Christmas themes and they help each other along the way. It was so good!

The Twelve Days of Christmas by Trisha Ashley

I picked this book up because it was the December book club pick for a Jenny Colgan fan readers Facebook group I am in. I don’t think I’ve read anything by Trisha Ashely, but I will in the future! This was a light read about a house sitter who is called to fill in at a house in a small UK village. She is looking forward to the time alone, but quickly enmeshes herself with the villagers. This was another light fun Christmas book and it was just what I wanted to read in December.

The Little Christmas Shop on Nutcracker Lane by Jaimie Admans

This is the second book by Jaimie Admans that I’ve read and they were both Christmas books. This book took place in the UK and Nutcracker Lane is a Christmas shopping area that is in danger of closing. The main character Nia is determined to defeat E.B. Neazer, the Scroogey accountant that is doing everything he can to close Nutcracker Lane. It is full of Christmas spirit and traditions and I enjoyed learning trivia about nutcrackers sprinkled throughout.

This Time Next Year by Sophie Cousens

I picked this book as the Jolabokaflod book club for my mom, my sister, and me. I am so glad I read it. It was so cute! Quinn and Minnie happen to meet on New Year’s Day just after midnight, only to find out that they were the first two babies born in the same hospital 30 years ago. Minnie feels cursed and Quinn seems to be leading a charmed life. The book is comprised of flashbacks and Quinn and Minnie’s interactions throughout the year. I knew how it was going to end up, but I didn’t figure out how the story was going to get there. It was a great read!

I am currently reading a book from my Summer Beach Reads 2020 that I never got to. The chapters are so short so I can talk myself in to reading one more chapter time and time again.
