Hello Monday – 6/8/20

Happy Monday! We had a great weekend I am so excited that we only have 4 days of school this week!

We had a great time at the beach last week and got home around 10 Friday night. The boys went straight to bed because they were tired! Even though they’ve been playing outside a bunch, ocean and beach playing are a little more strenuous.

On Saturday, I got a great run in!

Then, the boys and I went up to the pool for a meeting and to help get things ready to open. Jack was the first one in the pool this year!

Luke wasn’t far behind him.

We went to my parents house for the first time since March 26. It was great! We had our favorite dinner – crabs with wine on their back deck – and it was so nice to see them! My dad picked up a freezing cold bottle of crisp Sauvignon blanc and it was perfect on a hot evening like that!

That is the sign of a great summery dinner!!

On Sunday, we had an easy morning. Jeff cut the grass, the boys watched tv and played, and I read and did some stuff around the house.

After lunch, I headed back over to the pool and the guys went to play golf. It was the perfect way to spend the afternoon outside.

We grilled steaks for dinner with some yummy roasted potatoes. Justine from Every Day Life with the Leshikars has a great and super easy recipe that she’s shared on her instagram stories. We loved it!
Put one bag of steam and mash potatoes on a baking sheet, spray with olive oil. Add some salt, pepper, onion powder, and garlic powder. Cook for 20-25 min at 450. Then I broiled them for about 5 minutes. Delicious!

I have 2 posts coming tomorrow so be sure to check back – Show Us Your Books and Tuesday Book Release! Have a great day full of sunshine and books!

I always find the sun/ beach exhausting! I get more tired sitting in my chair there than working all day at home. Enjoy your last week.
