Friday Favorites – 12/19/19

Happy Friday! It is our last Friday of school before a nice long winter break and I am ready for a great day! I’ve been teaching all about Jolabokaflod all week and we’ve been enjoying the calm, reading time in the library! It is so cozy with a fire on the projector, lovely music, and lots of glowing Christmas lights. I’m linking up with Narci and the girls to share my favorites from this week.

Favorite 1: MUSICIANS!! Jack had his winter concert this week and I am so proud of him. He’s been practicing a lot this year and it shows. He was so excited for the concert.

Favorite 2: LIGHTS!! We went to Enchant Christmas this weekend and the lights really wowed us! I wrote all about it on Tuesday. We had a great time and I don’t know how I’m going to top this next year.

Favorite 3: SNOW!! We had our first snow day of the year on Monday. It wasn’t a ton of snow but the timing made it just enough to close schools. They built a tiny snow man and played their snow ball game they invented with the neighbors.

Favorite 4: 30 MINUTES!! I am really stretching myself and getting 30 intentional minutes of movement every day. I’ve been hitting the pool twice a week and spending some more time on my treadmill. I do love the way I feel afterwards – a little less stressed and more equipped to handle everything that comes my way. It is so much easier to get my exercise done in the mornings, but I will not miss those 4:45 am alarms over break next week.

Favorite 5: BREAK!! This is an anticipatory favorite. I am so excited for our break this year. It is longer than usual (12 days) and we don’t have much planned. I’m getting together with girlfriends, Luke has a swim meet, and Jack has a basketball tournament. I’m starting my list of things I’d like to do around the house but making no guarantees. I am not even sure what my blogging schedule will look like.

Have a great weekend full of sunshine and books!!
