What’s Up Wednesday – 10/20/19

Happy Wednesday! I am linking up with Shay and Sheaffer to share what’s up this month.

WHAT WE’RE EATING THIS WEEK…
Sunday: Basta Pasta carryout to support Luke’s soccer team
Monday: Chipotle tacos because our free kids meals were about to expire
Tuesday: Leftovers
Wednesday: Leftover
Thursday: pizza
Friday: Chief’s birthday dinner
Saturday: dinner at my parents’ house

WHAT I’M REMINISCING ABOUT…
Luke’s first snow, in October, before the sun came up because my babies are early risers.

Halloweens past

WHAT I’M LOVING…
I am loving the Book Fair!! It is a busy week and a half but kids and grown ups love it. There is major excitement running through the halls of our school right now and it is all centered on books. Could there be anything better?

I’m loving the Hallmark Christmas movies! Usually I wait until after Thanksgiving, but this year I’ve already started watching. They are so fun and easy to watch and there’s no harm in watching them early.

WHAT WE’VE BEEN UP TO…
We’ve been taking care of our new fish, Sam and Blue Dragon 2.

We’ve(Jeff) been carving pumpkins.

We’ve been practicing all the sports – soccer, baseball, swimming, basketball, and golf.

WHAT I’M DREADING…
I am really only dreading the shorter days. The evenings seem so long when the sun sets so early!

WHAT I’M WORKING ON…
I am working on finding a new exercise / workout routine. It has to change every season when the kids’ practices change and I’m trying to figure out what my winter routine is going to look like.

I’ve also started Christmas shopping. If you have any great ideas for 8-10 year old boys, husbands, or sisters, pass them on!

WHAT I’M EXCITED ABOUT…
My sister is coming home on Friday! I can’t wait to see her all day on Saturday!!

One of my favorite Etsy shops is having a 20% off sale today and adding some Christmas items too! Check out CorasDen on Etsy!

WHAT I’M WATCHING/READING…

I’ve been watching the World Series. Hopefully when I wake up this morning I see that the Nats won!

I started Girlfriend’s Guide to Divorce on Netflix while I’m running and I really like it. I never watched it when it was on Bravo and it’s keeping my interest for my mile a day.

Hallmark 😉 ❤️

I just finished Adequate Yearly Progress by Roxanna Elden. I really wanted to love it because I’d heard it was a funny take on ridiculous things that happen in education. But it just wasn’t for me. I forced myself to finish it, but I’d only give it ☀️ ☀️. Maybe it was too close to home for me or maybe I didn’t love the characters or maybe it just wasn’t that funny. Either way, it was a flop.

I just started American Royals by Katherine McGee and it is great! I’ll let you know what I think when I finish. I will say I was a little surprised to see that it was a YA book when I checked it out from the library. I don’t read a lot of YA, but I’m reading this one!

WHAT I’M LISTENING TO…

Billy Joel all the time! The Billy Joel channel is back on Sirius radio and we are loving it!!

WHAT I’M WEARING…

My Halloween costume

Lots of pumpkins

Monograms

WHAT I’M DOING THIS WEEKEND…
We are celebrating my father-in-law’s and my niece’s birthdays on Friday night. I’m spending the day with my mom and sister on Saturday. We have Annie’s shower and then family dinner. On Sunday, the boys have an all day swim meet.

WHAT I’M LOOKING FORWARD TO NEXT MONTH…
I’m looking forward to Thanksgiving festivities – turkey trot, parade, and family time.Jamie and I have a Fellow Flowers virtual run.

Luke has a soccer tournament.

Jack has a basketball tournament.

I’m going to see some of my college roommates that I haven’t seen in a long time!

I have 2 evenings out planned with girlfriends.

Full on Christmas music started November 29th.

Have a great day full of sunshine and books!

I love all the Hallowe’en reminiscing I’m seeing on posts today. You’ve had some cute costumes through the years. And I love the Where’s Waldo? ones! Also, Blue Dragon 2 is a GREAT fish name 🙂

And although I’m a Blue Jays fan, I’m hoping the Nats win it all tonight!!! I was so happy to see how amazing last night’s game was.

Such cuteness with all those old Halloween photos! Sounds like a busy and fun weekend. I am dreading those shorter darker days… and also trying to figure out a workout plan for winter when mother nature often doesn’t cooperate.
