Hello Monday – 5/6/19

Happy Monday! We had a great weekend and I have a ton of pictures to share with you. Get comfy! I am linking up with Heather, Lindsay, and Tanya to say Hello Monday!

On Friday evening, Luke had rehearsal for his first communion. He did a great job and marched out of church ready for Sunday’s first communion.

Annie and Zach came home Friday evening and came to Luke’s game to cheer him on Saturday morning. We were all baseball ready! I ran to the game, up a GIANT hill, and we all arrived at the same time. Perfect timing!

Annie and my mom hung at our house with me for most of the day getting ready for the first communion party. Jeff went to a derby party and my dad and Zach played some golf. I finally sat down, ready for the party at 9 o’clock. It was a busy day but it felt good to wake up Sunday morning totally ready to celebrate Luke.

I picked out my communion dress from the Lilly New Year Cheer sale. It was so comfortable all day and I can’t wait to wear it again. Annie brought me her gold McKim mid-height wedges and they were perfect!

Luke’s first communion mass was at noon on Sunday and he did such a great job. We were so proud of him!

We had everyone back to the house for a party after mass. Our local Mexican catered the party and the food was delicious!! Pop and Gigi

I love posed family photos because I can make sure I get everyone! We had some fun at the party too!

After the party was over, Luke headed down to have some time playing with his guys and was happy as a clam!

And then I remembered he had a math test tomorrow and we needed to finish up the review. He wasn’t quite as happy.

Jeff made berry margaritas with fresh fruit and they were delicious! I enjoyed them all the way through the evening, even after most of the food was cleaned up and I was waiting for the dishwasher to finish so I could reload it.

It was a perfect Cinco de Mayo, or as we were calling it, Cinco de Communion!

Be sure to come back tomorrow for my recommendations to have a great summer full of sunshine and books!!
