Happy Friday! I am pretty happy it is Friday for 3 big reasons. 1 – It is Luke’s birthday!! Happy 8th birthday Luke!! 2 – We are on spring break! 3 – It is Friday and I always love Friday! I am linking up with Erika, Narci, and Andrea to share my favorites from this week.

Favorite 1: PEEP SHOW!! Every year we go to the Peep Show in Westminster. It is a fundraiser for the local arts council. There are hundreds of entries that are all made out of Peeps candy. There are sculptures, movies, photographs, and dioramas all made out of Peeps. It is a pretty big deal and well known in the area. The boys, my mom, and I always have a great time. This was our favorite entry this year.

A Christmas tree of course!! I also thought these wings were pretty cool.Hanging with my Peeps is one of my favorite spring traditions!

Favorite 2: AUTHORS!! We welcomed Jen Calonita to my school this week. She is on tour for her latest book in the Fairy Tale Reform School series. It is a great series and she was fabulous with the students. The kids loved her and her books are flying off the shelves in my school library. I always love to have authors to our school. The kids learn more about reading and writing and they are often so inspired to read new books and write more. If you have a middle grade reader, you should definitely check out her books!
Favorite 3: OUTSIDE RUNNING! While Jack was at baseball practice, Luke and I went for a run down by the river. The weather was beautiful and so was the scenery. We ran a little over two and half miles of hills. I was so proud of Luke and it was a great way to get my run in!

Favorite 4: SCHOOL LIBRARY MONTH! I love School Library Month! It is a whole month to focus on something wonderful in the school library. I’m bringing back my book shirts and loving it! I have a few new ones to add to my collection, too. The students reactions have been pretty great!! On Thursday I wore this one from Where The Wild Things Are. It was perfect for the day before spring break, with a full moon, and some very excited students!

Favorite 5: MANICURES! I usually paint my own nails, but there are 2 times a year I get gel manicures because we’re busy and I want my nails to look nice. I get manicures from just before Thanksgiving through New Years and I get them from Easter through Memorial Day. I got my first spring manicure today and it was wonderful. I love the nail salon that I go to. It’s calm, relaxing, and they always do a great job. I’m really loving this color, too!

That’s it for today. We have a fun weekend coming up with Luke’s birthday, an Easter Egg Dash, baseball, Easter with family, and Jack’s King for a Day day. We go back to school on Tuesday so our spring break will be busy but fun!
