Happy Friday!!! Finally! I am so happy that it’s Friday!! After a few weeks with snow days, early dismissals, and two hour delays, five full days of school seemed unbelievably long!
I’m feeling you Oprah!! We made it!!!
I am linking up with Erika, Narci, and Andrea and The Blended Blog to share my favorites from the past week. Enjoy!
Favorite 1: GIRLFRIENDS!! I love any time I get to spend with my girlfriends!! On Saturday evening, I had seven friends over to celebrate Declare It Day. Check our celebration and my goals here. Celebrating Declare It Day with friends has become a tradition that I look forward to every year! We still laugh and have fun like a regular girls’ night, but we also get a little deeper and talk about our goals for the year. We talk about what we want to change and why. It’s one of my favorite things to do with friends!

Favorite 2: SUNSHINE!! We had the best weather on Tuesday. I had conferences after school but there was a little break between dismissal and the beginning of conferences. I packed my running clothes and took to the streets! It felt amazing!! I have been doing a lot of treadmill running, due to the weather and convenience, and those hills were a bit challenging. I signed up to run a 5k in a few weeks and the motto for the run is “Kill the Hill”. I am a little nervous but I know I’ll make it up that hill.
Favorite 3: FAVORITE THINGS!! I shared my most recent Favorite Things party on Monday. I love Favorite Things parties because I get to share my favorites and get some new favorites too! These girls are also some of my favorites! ❤️
I’ve never had a book holder before and I am so glad I have one now!! I love to keep my books in pristine condition and this is perfect for doing just that!
These are my favorite things – glitter, leather earrings and monogrammed bracelets ❤️
I wore my new Trades of Hope earrings from the party and I love them!
Favorite 4: REVLON VOLUMIZER/DRYER!! I have pretty curly hair and only wear it straight when I get it cut. I like my hair curly for every day, but sometimes I want to straighten it. I usually feel like I need octopus arms and 14 brushes to do it well. Enter the Revlon One-Step Hair Dryer and Volumizer. It looks like a brush/curling iron/dryer from 1984 in the pictures but it works like a modern dream!! After my shower I wrapped my towel around my hair and let it dry for about 5 minutes. Then I took it down, put a little de-frizzing balm on it and dryed it. In just 9 minutes I had straight hair!! I have a little bit of work to do to figure out how to smooth the roots/top of my hair and keep the volume, but I am so excited to keep trying this thing!! I got it on an Amazon Lightning Deal for a good bit less than the regular retail price. Keep an eye out for the deal!!
Favorite 5: FITBIT BANDS!! I have a Fitbit Alta and I love it. It alerts me to phone calls and text messages and keeps track of my steps. I didn’t love how casual the bands looked when I was dressing up a bit, until I found these in my Amazon haul this month. I got 2 sets of bands with a buckle, so they are pretty secure, on Amazon with all the metallic colors. I had a mesh metal band for it but the magnet on the band kept picking up every paper clip around me and I didn’t love it. I have been wearing these non-stop since I got them.
I also picked up two decorative bands for when I want to be a little more festive.
That’s it for the week. We have a weekend full of swim team practices, basketball games, soccer games, and a fun birthday celebration on Saturday night.
I hope you have a great weekend full of sunshine and books!!
Love love love your girlfriend traditions! Yes! I also love those glitter earrings- have a wonderful weekend Sarah!
