Friday Favorites – 7/6/18

We had another fun summer week and I’m linking up with Erika, Narci, and Andrea to share my favorites with you!

Favorite 1: SISTERS!! Annie surprised my mom for her birthday and came home for the weekend. We had a great weekend together and it was so nice to see her in person again!!

Favorite 2: BEACH TIME!! We decided to take a little getaway to the beach this week. We all love our beach time!

This was the perfect street corner to run by on day 550 of my run streak! πŸ˜β˜€οΈπŸŒŠ

Favorite 3: THE FOURTH OF JULY! I love any and everything patriotic! All the Parsons were rocking our red, white, and blue!

We were at the beach for the 4th of July again this year. Without making it an official tradition, we’ve spent most of our recent July 4ths at the beach.

Favorite 4: BOOKS! This has been a great book week! I read By Invitation Only by Dorothea Benton Frank and loved it! She really is a fabulous author! She has a way of telling family stories that makes you feel like you are a close relative! I had the pleasure of meeting her at Bethany Beach Books in Delaware last month.

I headed back to the bookstore to meet two authors on Thursday evening before we headed home. The bookstore is literally steps from the beach!

Shelly Noble and Orly Konig were there tonight and they were lovely! After chatting with them for a while, I am even more excited to read the books I picked up!!

Here are the new additions to my to read pile. Don’t mind the background, I took the pictures on our way home from the beach. 😊

Favorite 5: BARRINGTON BAGS! I window shopped and designed a ton of bags for months before committing to purchasing a Barrington bag. And I am so glad I bought them! I love them and they are perfect for summer so far!! Full disclosure, when they arrived I was worried I’d made a big mistake ordering. The St. Anne petite handbag was WAAYY smaller than what I was used to carrying.

I absolutely love the print and monogram. I opted for no stripe because I wanted to be able to see the pineapple. I wasn’t sure if both sides had the stripe/monogram, but they don’t.

Next, I was a little worried that the St. Anne tote was going to be too big for me to use as a purse!

I love the palms pattern with the stripe and monogram!

As it turns out, I was totally worried for no reason about the size of both bags. They both work as purses and I use them all the time!! The St. Anne petite holds way more than I thought it would and the St. Anne tote is perfect for holding everything I like to carry!

I am pretty sure this will be the next bag I order. It’s the Savannah zippered tote and appears to be in between the sizes of the two St. Anne bags. I absolutely love this one!

Won’t it be perfect for fall and winter?? 😍

We have another fun weekend coming up with a baseball game, a swim meet, a party, and pool time! I am hoping to finish Best Beach Ever by Wendy Wax. It is the 6th book in the 10 Beach Road series. I love the ladies in this book and am really enjoying it!

Have a great weekend full of sunshine and books!
