I warned you on Tuesday that it was going to be a busy week and I was right! I did not get to blogging, so I am sharing all the fun we had with you today. It’s going to be a Friday Favorites on a Monday kind of post!
Favorite 1 – TATTOOS!! I don’t have a tattoo and I’m sure I will ever get one. However, we had a fundraiser at school called Tat-A-Teacher and I participated in that one. Families buy tattoos for teachers and then we all wear them on the same day. I felt very loved on Tuesday!!
I had two meetings at the pool on Tuesday evening – new member and swim team – and was sure to explain that my body art was a great fundraiser for our school! Haha!
Favorite 2 – LAST DAYS!! Jack and Luke finished their exams last week! Luke finished on Thursday morning and Jack on Friday morning. They are very excited to be in summer mode. I still have 10 days left, plus my extra media days before I can join them in summer mode.
Favorite 3 – THE POOL!! I haven’t had a true pool day yet, but I have been there a good bit. I planted the flowers two weeks ago. I did the bulletin board on Monday. I had those two meetings on Tuesday. I was there for swim team swim tests on Wednesday. I spent a few hours there on Saturday morning to meet a phone repair man and do some swim team swim tests.
I do love that place and can’t wait to read poolside in my favorite spot!
Favorite 4 – SOCCER! Luke played his last club soccer game on Sunday morning. He had quite the cheering section. Our neice played at the same fields right before his game, so Jeff’s sister and her family stayed to watch Luke. They won the game big, maybe 8-0, and had so much fun playing! Luke has been playing club soccer since 2nd grade so this was definitely a big decision, but I think he’s excited to have more time to swim and do high school things.
Favorite 5 – MOVIES! Jack took Movie Making this year for his art class. They movie making classes made 5 short films and had a short film festival at school last week. The kids dressed up, talked about their films, and got awards for best performance, etc. It was great to see him do something that stretched him a little and the kids are very talented!
Favorite 6 – SWIM! Luke had a swim meet this weekend and did well. It was a small meet and went so quickly. I think this will be his last indoor meet for a month or so because we are getting into summer swim mode.
That is about it. I enjoyed watching the boys do the things they love or trying something new. I am so so so so so ready for school to be over.
