Happy Wednesday! It’s the first Wednesday of the month and I am linking up with Amy to share five things I am currently doing. Each month we share five different things and I think it’s a fun way to think about what’s going on.

Currently saving my life…

The sunshine! We had two sunny days in a row this weekend and I feel like a new lady! I walked outside both days. I sat on the driveway and read for a while on Saturday while the boys played basketball. It was actually saving my life!

My kindle is also saving my life. I love that I always have my book with me. I can fall asleep and not lose my place. I have at least one more book ready to go at any time. I can read in the sunshine or the dark. Always being ready to read is saving my life.

I am cleaning/purging…

My closet/dressers always. I went through my sweaters and got rid of a dozen that I am not wearing much. I ordered a few new pairs of pants and am clearing out the jeans that aren’t my style anymore.

I am cleaning out some of my stainless steel tumblers. I am trying to decide if I want to try to sell them on facebook marketplace or just donate them. I’d love to sell them, but it often feels like more hastle than it’s worth.

I am loving…

The Peloton app’s personalized workout plan. I have been lifting 4x a week and stretching or doing yoga the other 3 days. I am also finding time to add walks when it isn’t freezing cold. It feels good to be getting stronger again!

My plants! I am currently babysitting two plants for people that are out of town and I have three cactuses, two peace lilies , a spider plant, an aloe plant, a jade plant, an anthurium plant, a swiss ivy plant, a pothos plant, and a shamrock plant. I also have two pothos plants at school. They are all doing really well (knock on wood) right now and it brings me joy! One of my “Christmas” cactuses is actually starting to show some buds now.

My school plant 😍

I am planning (tripwise)…

I am excited for a few trips. They are all mostly planned, but I am still adding fun things to our itineraries. We are headed to Florida this month, Charleston next month, and Alaska in the summer.

I am also planning for a weekend swim meet this weekend. It is a few hours away so we’ll stay in a hotel. I’ve started my packing list and we’ll be ready.

I am taking a break from…

Watching much TV. As the kids say, I was locked in for the Olympics and it was a lot of TV and Peacock app watching. I enjoyed every minute of it, but I am ready for less TV time.

I am taking a little break from reading so many children’s books. I will start again next month, but I am looking forward to a month with more adult books. I am always reading one chapter book for children, but I am not plowing through them like I did last month.

After this week, I am taking a break from themed clothing. Between the Olympics, Valentine’s Day, the 100th Day of School, and Read Across America week, I have been picking out clothes to match a theme for a while. After this week, I am back to wearing what I want when I want.

That’ll do it for this month. I was hoping to have more pictures of my plants, but it got dark and was tricky to get good ones. Thanks to Amy for hosting! These were fun prompts. Have a great day full of sunshine and books!

The sunshine is so nice to see. I want to get some plants when I move this spring, so I may get some of these. I went to Charleston last fall and I am also going to Alaska this summer!

Yes to sunshine saving my life, too! And Books! Sunshine and Books! Look at you – you plant sitter! I love the disco ball hanger. I am excited to go to plant BINGO this month. You play regular bingo but win plants for prizes. I am going to buy a spider plant with the discount you get at bingo night. they give you 25% off.

I’m enjoying having a few more plants around the house as Alec always brings his plants home with him when he’ll be here for more than a couple of days. He has far more patience than I do when it comes to plants.

I think we are onto 3 sunny days in row at the moment and it has been lovely to have some sunshine! Good job with looking after the plants for people. The trips you have planned sound exciting and what a shame you are having a break from the themed clothing. hehehe

Yes, the sun is also saving my life! And the lighter evenings too. Oh, I can’t wait to hear about your Alaska trip. That sounds fun!
