Happy Monday! Happy Christmas week! I’m starting the week with Holly and all of you! I hope you’ll link up with us for Hello Monday!

This weekend went so quickly! Friday was a full day with nine classes of very excited kids in the library. VERY EXCITED!! I ran a few errands quickly after school but was looking forward to coming home to hear how the boys’ final day of exams went. They were both pretty tired but felt good about their exams. My friend Kourtni usually hosts a big Christmas party, but opted for smaller get togethers this year. We got together on Friday night and it was so lovely! We didn’t get a picture with the guys, but the girls got a cute selfie!

I woke up ready to go on Saturday. It was going to be a busy and I wanted to get a few things done before we left. Luke and I loaded up the car with over 300 ramen and mac and cheese cups and 60 boxes of tissues to take to the Ronald McDonald House. They were so happy to get the donation! Thank you to everyone who sent items!

From there, we headed to the pool. Our club hosts an 8 and under meet in December and needs a lot of volunteers. Jack timed, Luke was a marshall keeping parents out of the swimmer areas, and I ran clerk of course. It was a wild 4 hours, but the meet went off without a hitch. I had two highlights. 1-A few of my summer swimmers were there and did a great job! 2-A few 8 year old boys challenged me to an armpit fart dual while they were waiting to swim. I didn’t accept the challenge, but it felt like some serious street cred to be challenged. Haha!
After the 8 and under meet ended, our club hosted a distance meet. Jack swam 400 IM and dropped a ton of time. Luke swam 1000 freestyle for the first time and crushed it! I was still on deck as a marshall keeping parents out of the swimmer areas like Luke did in the morning.

We got home just in time to cheer on JMU! They didn’t beat Oregon but I am proud of the players, the program, the fans, and the school. I will always love everything JMU!! If you aren’t familiar with the rise of the JMU football program, there was a great article on CNN.

I was up and moving on Sunday morning, too. I met my friend Jodi for a walk. We haven’t walked in a few weeks and it was great to catch up. After our walk, I got ready for church with Jack. He’s been going with some friends lately and I joined them this week.
I got to work on Christmas fun when I got home. I wrapped and got a few treats started. My wrapping movies were Elf and Christmas Vacation. Both are so good!! I have wrapped everyI started buttercream candy and cookie dough. I also made Chex muddy buddies.

We got everything cleaned up and watched a little football together after dinner. I am hoping to finish the candy tomorrow after school. We’ll probably make cookies on Tuesday after I get home from school. Can you believe we haven’t driven around to look at lights? I can’t either! I am hoping to go on Tuesday night.

I am not planning to blog again before Hello Monday again. If you blogged, please join us below! I hope you and your family have a wonderful Christmas, if you celebrate. I am sending love and joy to each of you! Have a great day full of sunshine and CHRISTMAS books!
