Happy Monday! I’m starting the week with Holly and all of you! I hope you’ll link up with us for Hello Monday!

Oh my goodness did we have a wonderful weekend! I have EIGHT GREAT things to share with you today!!

1-Friday was a day full of great!! My friend Jamie got married to her high school sweetheart!! She looked so gorgeous! She was so happy! He looked handsome! He was so happy! It was such a great time!

Jamie and I have these squished face pictures from every big event in our lives. Happy to add one more! 💜💜

2-I got to see some friends I haven’t seen in a long time and some friends I don’t usually see in April! It was fun to catch up with them and celebrate our friend Jamie!

Always a picture of the guys together, talking guy things 😊

3-I played a round of pool with my friend Kerry and some people who actually know how to play pool. If this doesn’t say “pool shark” I don’t know what does. We almost won. Kerry sunk the first five balls. I got the last two. For my final turn, only the 8 ball was left on the table. It was a long shot, but I made it and celebrated like I won a million dollars, only to see the cue ball go in another pocket. ARE YOU KIDDING ME??? We lost like that! Sigh… It was a blast either way and now I have a good story to tell.

4-Luke had an early soccer game on Saturday and played a little. Here’s the backstory. The day he was released to go back to normal activity after his neck surgery, he was playing basketball in the driveway and said his knee felt like it exploded. Super…. He iced and stretched it a bit and I thought it might be from weakness after three weeks of walking only. It turns out it wasn’t. He has Osgood-Schlatter’s disease in his knee and some fractures in the growth plate. Darn it! The good news is he’s allowed to do half of his normal activity with lots of stretching, icing, and some PT. So, the fact that he could play a bit and did well was great. He didn’t play nearly as much as usual, but he was able to do something. I don’t have any pictures because it was FREEZING!

5-Jack and a buddy played golf on Saturday afternoon. They walked about fourteen holes before it got dark and they had a great time! Jack is really playing well right now and it is fun to hear him talk about it. His friend spent the night and that is always fun!

6-I met my friend Jodi for a great weighted vest walk on Sunday morning. I love my walks with Jodi! We chatted and powered through the hills of our town. We hadn’t walked in over a week so it was so good to catch up!

7-The Masters was on our tv all weekend. I ordered these cute cups from Cups on Cochran and they were a hit. Sunday’s lunch was a pimento cheese sandwich, a Diet Pepsi in my cup, and watching golf. Perfection!

8-Sunday evening was wonderful! We all watched the end of the Masters together and it was exciting! How cool to watch Rory achieve a career grand slam. My mom once told me that little boys are like bear cubs playing. Guess what – even though they’re teenagers, they are still like bear cubs! These two! 💙💙

Jack did the ice bucket challenge, too. Years ago it was for ALS and the one going around now is for USC Speak Your Mind for mental health awareness, I think. Jack got the challenge and passed it on to a few friends. Luke was all to happy to be the water pourer.

I am off this afternoon for a follow up with the eye doctor. I am meeting my mom for lunch after that and then heading to Jack’s golf match. I hope the sun is shining and the wind calms down a bit so we don’t freeze on the golf course! If you blogged, don’t forget to link up with us below. Have a great day full of sunshine and books!
