Hello Monday – 3/17/25

Happy Monday! Happy Saint Patrick’s Day! Did you know this is the last Monday of winter?? I am so excited for warmer spring weather to start! I’m starting the week with Holly and all of you! I hope you’ll link up with us for Hello Monday!

We had a wonderful weekend. It didn’t look quite like I thought it would because Luke wasn’t ready to swim quite yet, but we made the best of it. I have EIGHT GREAT things to share with you today!

1-Luke and I volunteered at my school’s family book bingo on Friday night. He got to check winning bingo cards and I got to announce a few bingo games. It was so fun to see the kids and their families having a great time and Luke and I had a great time, too.

2-Jack hasn’t been to swim practice since golf season started, about three weeks. We didn’t really think about it when signing up for the swim meet. He swam 500 free on Friday night and powered through. He didn’t add much time and he looked pretty good!

3-We had an easy Saturday morning. It was cold, cloudy, windy, and misty. We all enjoyed some time in our pjs around the house. All four of us had breakfast when we were ready, watched a little tv, did a little catch up work, and relaxed. It was a perfect start!

4-I got to spend a lot of time with Jack this weekend. Luke and Jeff stayed home from the swim meet. Jack and I went to the meet. He swam well again on Saturday! I read my book and magazine in the stands (fabulous) and cheered him on! Jack and I went out to dinner (Chipolte, his favorite) and then to the outlets for a little shopping. It was so lovely to have some one on one time with Jack and catch up.

Ready to cheer on Saturday!
Ready to cheer on Sunday!

5-I did not “style” this dress, the lighting isn’t super, and I’ve been at a swim meet all afternoon, but I wanted to share this dress with you. I absolutely love it!! I picked it up at J.Crew Factory on Saturday in my regular size, medium. I actually got the navy and the black/white stripe. I am turning into a midi dress girl and I am loving it. I just need to find a pair of sandals that looks cute and doesn’t make my feet hurt.

6-I ordered this jacket/sweatshirt after Genevieve recommended it. I think Jen has it now too. It is so good!! I love the fit (it’s loose but not too big), the fabric, and the style. It was perfect for the swim meet on Saturday and running around afterwards. I got it in my usual medium and might go back and order the taupe one, too!

7-That yucky weather on Saturday morning gave way to a lovely evening. Jack was hoping to get to the golf course to practice this weekend, so we went on the way home from the swim meet Saturday for a little while before the sun set.

8-I am reading a wonderful historical fiction book right now. I migth even be finished reading the book by the time you are reading this post. It is about the invention of Barbie. As a Barbie girl, I am enjoying the characters, storyline, and Barbie trivia. This is the first book I’ve read by Renee Rosen, but it won’t be the last!

I am back to work today for a third five day week in a row! Who am I?? We actually have a professional development day today. How lucky! ☘️ I am hoping to learn a lot, but I’ll be pleased with entertaining sessions. My favorite part of teacher work days is going out to lunch! Woohoo! If you blogged today, be sure to link up with us below! Have a lucky day full of shamrocks, sunshine, and books!
