Hello Monday – 11/25/24

Happy Monday! I’m here with Holly sharing some fun from our weekend. I hope you’ll link up with us for Hello Monday!

I was pretty tired on Friday afternoon after working all five days and having something to do each evening. I was in my pajamas pretty early, like 4:30 early, and it felt great. This weekend was pretty wonderful! I have EIGHT GREAT things to share with you.

1-I had a fairy hair appointment on Friday afternoon. I still had a two strands left from my appointment in May, but I wanted to refresh them for the holidays. It takes a few days for them to get into my curls, but I love it!

2-Luke had a soccer tournament about an hour and a half away. We were gone for most of the day on Saturday. The park was lovely and I went for a long walk while the team warmed up. They played two games and the team went out to lunch in between. They tied one game and won one game. They played well and had a great time together.

3-Jack didn’t want to go with us and my parents wanted some help getting their tree out of the basement. It was a perfect arrangement! Jack hung out with them and helped put up and decorate the tree. Then my dad took him to the simulator to hit get some golf practice in.

4-Saturday was sunny, but pretty breezy at the game. I was so happy to have my lap blanket with me. It’s the perfect size and kept me warm! If you can crochet or have a friend that can, I cannot recommend this blanket enough. I have no idea what the pattern or specifications are, but my friend Jamie made it for me and I love it. I could ask her for the info if any one is interested.

5-We were back at the tournament on Sunday morning. Luke and his team have to be there any hour before game time so Jeff and I used that time to go for a walk again. We didn’t walk together, but we did pass each other. I was listening to the Wiser Than Me episode with Ina Garten (SO GOOD!!) and Jeff was listening to his Sunday morning fantasy football podcast.

6-Luke’s team didn’t win on Sunday morning, so we were home around 2:30 to hang out for the rest of the day. I got somethings done around the house to be ready for the week. At one point, we were all relaxing in the family room and it made me so happy! We had an unexpected relaxing dinner together, too!

7-I had a little time on Sunday to work ahead on some blog posts for the week. That doesn’t often happen, but it felt good to get a start on my posts. I am working on What’s Up Wednesday, Gratitude Challenge, and my Christmas Books 2025 post.

8-I watched Christmas Vacation for the first time this season Sunday evening. I absolutely love that movie and was excited to see it on tv!

We have a short week at school – Monday, Tuesday, half day Wednesday – but those are the weeks that can feel the longest. We are doing an undercover teacher spirit week at school and I am excited to see if the kids notice. I’ll share pictures with you later this week. Be sure to link up with us below if you blogged today! Have a great day full of sunshine and books!
