Happy Monday! I’m here with Holly sharing some fun from our weekend. I hope you’ll link up with us for Hello Monday!
Friday was a busy day at school and I was ready to chill when we got home. Jeff and Jack went to a high school basketball game and didn’t get home until late. Luke went to swim practice and I stayed to see how his hand would feel in the water. It didn’t feel good so he kicked for a bit and we headed home. I was beat so we hopped in my bed to watch a movie before bed. We couldn’t find a movie, but watched the Percy Jackson behind the scenes on Disney+. It was great!
I woke up on Saturday ready to tackle my to do list. Jeff had to work and was out the door pretty early. I had a bunch of computer work to do. It was raining and chilly. So I got comfy on the couch and started on pool membership stuff, some blogging, the class I am taking, and some work for school. The boys both went to swim practice and I kept working through the day. I sprinkled in some extra fun things like laundry, dishes, and cleaning up. Woohoo!
I did make a few book templates for Instagram. It took way more time than it should, but I had fun making them. They’re saved to my Instagram (@sunnyscp) highlights if you want to check them use them to share your books, too.
It cleared up a bit in the afternoon and I went for a walk before hitting the showers. We were celebrating Jeff’s parents’ 50th anniversary on Saturday. We went to a delicious restaurant with the whole family. There were 14 of us and we had a great time!
We were slow moving on Sunday morning, but I got up and finished the work for my class this week. The weather was AMAZING and we opened up the house. I didnt’ get outside as much as I would’ve liked, but I got a bunch done inside.
Luke had two futsal games and Jeff and Jack went to the high school basketball tournament final. Luke played well and had a great game. His team’s footwork and speed are getting better each game. It’s so fun to watch!
We all got home around the same time and had dinner together. It was nice to sit around the table with no one rushing off to a practice. We finished up the evening getting ready for the week making sure everyone knows what’s happening this week, the dinner plan, and any extra chores they are responsible for. I hopped into bed around 9 to add a top coat to my nails and read myself to sleep.
It was a fun and productive weekend. I think we are as ready as we’re going to be for this busy week. I saw this on Instagram on Friday and loved it. I hope it is true for you!
