Hello Monday – 2/5/24

Happy Monday! I’m here with Holly sharing some fun from our weekend. I hope you’ll link up with us for Hello Monday!

Luke went to the middle school dance on Friday afternoon. His school decided to do the dance right after school this year instead of later in the evening. The parking lot isn’t very big so I got there a little early and read while I waited for the dance to end. He had a blast!!

Jack went to swim practice for about an hour and we watched a little tv. We had an early night on Friday because that five day week was a long one!

Jack and I were up bright and early because he had high school swim championships. We left a little before 7 and were poolside a short while later.

Jeff and Luke came to the meet just before Jack swam. It was a great meet for Jack! He got two best times!

When we got out of the swim meet, the sun was shining! It was wonderful! I did a yoga workout before the meet and went for a long walk when we got home. I hopped in the cold plunge tub after that.

Jeff and I had tickets to a bullroast on Saturday night. It was so much fun!! The local baseball club runs it as a fundraiser for the kids going to Cooperstown each year. I saw so many people that I haven’t seen in a long while. I only took a few pictures, but we had a great time!

On Sunday morning, I was feeling that great time. Oops! So I slept in a bit before Jeff and I got to work putting my closet back together. We had to use a bit of physics and engineering, but it is up and my clothes are hanging.

It was a gorgeous day! Jeff and Jack went to the simulater, while Luke and I met up with friends. The boys went down the hill to the creek while the moms went on a long walk. After our walk, we sat and talked on our deck enjoying the sunshine. Two full days of sunshine have been felt so good!!

We had a pizza my heart for dinner with a big salad.

Jack loves to play Clue. The last time they were playing, we started talking about the movie. There weren’t any sports on and the boys didn’t seem very excited about the Grammys so we watched Clue. It is such a good movie! It was early to bed for us since we have another five day week!

Today is the first Monday of the month so Tanya is hosting her Prime Purchase linkup. I am sharing a few things that we’ve gotten this month.

I got Airpods for Christmas and needed a case for them. I love this case!

I heard about this book on The Girl Next Door podcast. I ordered it for Luke and I to read together before we release more apps on his phone. We are about halfway through and it is great! I wish I would have known about it when Jack got his phone.

I was looking for another watch band that wasn’t sporty. I have a tortiose shell one that I love and this one is just as great! I love it!!

Jack needed new snowpants. I ordered these. They are comfy and fit well, but he hasn’t had a chance to use them yet.

I had a pair of pink loafers that I loved but they were half a size too small. I was looking for new pink loafers and came across these. They are bright pink, match much of what I wear, and are so comfy! I ordered my regular size (8.5) and they were a little big, but they came with an additonal insole insert. The additional insert made it a perfect fit and extra cushioned.

We are headed to Florida for a golf tournament soon. The weather looks like it will be in the 50s and 60s. Jack needed a vest for a little additional warmth. He also needed a new jacket. We all love these jackets!

I thought I had a fairly light shopping month, but it seems like I did some Amazon-ing. Luckily, I had a few gift cards from Christmas so I didn’t spend very much. We had a great weekend and I am looking forward to the week. We have a bunch of extra events in the evening, so we’ll be busy but it’s all good stuff. Don’t forget to link up with Holly and me below if you blogged. Have a great day full of sunshine and books!
