Hello Monday – 3/20/23

Happy Monday! Happy first day of spring! Before I get to our weekend fun, check out what happened to us on Sunday. While I was driving home from the swim meet, Waze directed me down this road…

Readers and Elin fans, I looked for Mallory and Cooper’s house everywhere! I knew it was in our area, but have never been directed down Deepdene Road!!

Now here’s some fun from the weekend. I hope you’ll link up with Holly and me for Hello Monday!

I was up and going early on Saturday morning. Last week kicked my booty and I didn’t get much done of Friday night, so I had a big list to tackle Saturday morning. We were running a little low on paper towels, toilet paper, and tissues so I headed to BJ’s to stock back up. After April 2020, I don’t think I’ll ever feel comfortable without at least a full bulk pack of those three in reserve.

Jeff took Luke to his first lacrosse game of the season and then to a soccer game later in the day. He scored a goal in lacrosse. Woohoo! He played in the goal for a bit in soccer which is unusual, but did a great job there.

Jack and I went to a swim meet and he swam so well! A few best times and his swims looked great!

I went for a walk during a long break between Jack’s events. It was lovely!

On Sunday, we had a slow start to the morning and all watched Sunday Morning together. I just love that show! Luke and I made some pumpkin muffins. After cleaning out the pantry last week, I am working on using up some of the baking mixes we have.

Both boys were swimming in the same session!! That hasn’t happened all year and I was loving it!

This is Luke’s last meet of the year and he got to swim in a relay which is always fun. Luke added some time but he raced well. Jack had all best times today.

My friend Jamie’s son was swimming, too. We’ve been swim friends for over 30 years and it was fun to be in the stands together.

We got home around 7 and got ready for the week. This week should be much smoother than last! For comparison, last week’s calendar:

And this week’s calendar.

Do you see Sunday??? That’s a blank square! I can’t believe it! They almost never happen, especially in the spring.

I did finish a book during the meet. I was reading The Authenticity Project by Claire Pooley. I gave it to my mom, mother-in-law, sister, and sisters-in-law for Jolabokaflod this year. I loved how the story was told from so many points of view and how characters were added through the story. I can’t wait to talk about it with the ladies!

I hope you have a great week. Ours is going to be pretty routine and for that I am thankful. Have a great day full of sunshine and books!

Yay for a blank day on the calendar! That’s huge. I LOVED The Authenticity Project and thought it was such a fun group of characters.
