Happy Friday! We have a professional development day today so I’m gliding into the weekend! This was a short week that went pretty quickly! I have some fun favorites to share.

Favorite 1: BOOKS!! I finished listening to Dolly Parton Songteller by Dolly Parton and it was GREAT!! ☀️ ☀️ ☀️ ☀️ ☀️ + I loved hearing Dolly tell her stories with her songs. I also found a playlist on Spotify with most of the songs from the book and I’ve been listening to that on repeat.

Luke and I are listening Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone. The narrator does a fabulous job with all the characters’ voices. We usually listen to books in the car on the way to and from soccer, but we continued listening to Harry Potter during dinner and before bed this week.

I’m still reading Lessons in Chemistry by Bonnie Garmus and I am loving it.

Favorite 2: AUNT SARAH!! Guess who is saying my name now??? You’re right – MAGGIE!! It’s so fun to hear her say Aunt Sarah and see her smile and point to me during our FaceTimes.

Favorite 3: CLOSET!! I have been purging my closet for a while. First, I took out everything I haven’t worn in a while. Now, everything that I kept is on it’s last chance. If I put it on and it doesn’t feel good or right, it’s out of there. This orange cardigan was on it’s last chance and I decided to keep it. It was so comfy and will be great in the spring too. Do you see that I’m not wearing shoes in my picture with the JMU top on? That’s because they hurt my feet and they are gone now! I do love getting dressed in clothes that fit well and feel good. It’s so much more fun!

I love these DSG shorts I shared a few weeks ago. It was a great outfit for my morning workout.

The weather is supposed to be a little warmer next week and I’m planning on wearing long sleeve dresses that I don’t like to wear with tights. Hopefully I still love the dresses I have!

Favorite 4: SUNSHINE!! It has been a little cloudy lately, but that’s making for gorgeous skies. I love the sun shining through and around the clouds!

Even though I love the sunshine, this raincoat was a surprise favorite this week. We had an unexpected rain shower during dismissal and a friend at work loaned me this cute coat! I almost didn’t give it back. 😍

Favorite 5: MY GUYS!! I love watching Jack and Luke do what they love and I got to watch both of them on Sunday.

I also got a date night with Jeff on Saturday when we went to Halloween party!

Favorite 6: PONYTAILS! My hair is getting a bit longer and I love the ponytails it makes. They’re a little longer but have some good volume at the top. I might even start wearing my hair up to work until I can get schedule a haircut.

Hello Monday

This fall has been busier than in the past. I have been adding another 30 minutes of exercise each evening. I am enjoying it but I think that’s taking some of my blogging time. I am hoping to get back to a more frequent and regular blogging schedule in November. We’ll see!

I’m a full time swim mom this weekend. I’ll be at the pool from 7:30 until about 5 on Saturday and 7:30 until noon on Sunday. That means lots of reading time for me! Here’s hoping the boys swim fast and have fun with their buddies! Have a great weekend full of sunshine and books!
