What’s Up Wednesday – 4/27/22

Advertisements

Happy Wednesday! It’s the last Wednesday of the month so I am linking up with Sheaffer and Shay to share what we’ve been up to. Let’s get to it!

WHAT WE’RE EATING THIS WEEK…

I’m still working on planning all of my meals each week. I took two 1/2 days this week because of doctor’s appointments and that messes with my lunches. We’ll see how it goes.

WHAT I’M REMINISCING ABOUT…

Babies and birthdays! Jack and Luke both have spring birthdays and I’ve been looking through their birthday pictures. I love having kids that are growing up but I do miss those sweet little babies!

WHAT I’M LOVING…

All the sunshine!! The warm sunshine is coming in fits and spurts but I am soaking up every bit of it. I’ve spent more time doing things on our deck in the past week than I have in a long time and it is wonderful!

My love for Swig tumblers runs deep and the new designs are testing all of my restraint. I am loving the confetti, blue crab, bobbing buoys, island breeze, jockey silks, boats and rows, sea spray, and starfish tumblers. I know I don’t need 8 tumblers, but it will be hard to narrow it down.

Swig straws are great, but I have been loving my Tegion straws (similar – not bent) for my water. They are a little wider and I am finding I drink more water with a wider straw.

WHAT WE’VE BEEN UP TO…

Jeff was on spring break all last week and he always gets a ton done around the house. He worked in the yard to get it going (fertilized, cut, bushes trimmed) and painted our office. I shared some pictures last week but but we finally hung our diplomas and moved a few pictures around.

Our spring routine is busy but manageable. It has Jeff and I taking a kid kids to practice almost every single night, but I also means that we are spending a ton of time outside!

WHAT I’M DREADING…

I am not really dreading anything right now. I know that the next 6 weeks are going to be really busy, but it’s a lot of fun stuff.

WHAT I’M WORKING ON…

I’m still planning these vacations. If you’ve been to a family friendly all inclusive in Mexico, I’d love to hear about it. Please share in the comments!

WHAT I’M EXCITED ABOUT…

All the new summer beach reads coming out! I can’t wait to relax by water (pool or ocean) and escape into a summer beach book!

WHAT I’M WATCHING/READING…

We started watching Our Great National Parks on Netflix. It’s narrated by Barak Obama and the videography is so cool. My guys are so curious about the world and keep adding places to their travel bucket list watching this. I finished Inventing Anna and loved that.

I finished Adult Assembly Required by Abbi Waxman and loved it. It comes out soon. If you read The Bookish Life of Nina Hill, you’ll love this because Nina is back in this one.

I read The Golden Couple by Greer Hendricks and Sarah Pekkanan. It was just like their other books and I loved it!

You can always keep up with what I’m reading on my Books 2022 page or my Goodreads lists. I’m Sarah Parsons there.

WHAT I’M LISTENING TO…

I don’t have an audio book going right now, but I’ve been listening to a bunch of backlist podcasts from The Mom Hour, Girl Next Door, What Should I Read Next, and The Best of Both Worlds.

WHAT I’M WEARING…

Bright colors! I’ve been wearing as many spring colors as I can to convince this weather to warm up and the sun to shine!

I love this tulip necklace from Cora’s Den and have been wearing it as much as possible! Use code SUNSHINEANDBOOKS10 to save 10%.

WHAT I’M DOING THIS WEEKEND…

Cheering on Jack and Luke! Luke has a soccer tournament and a lacrosse game. Jack has a golf tournament. If all the stars align, Luke will miss one soccer game in the tournament and Jeff and I will be able to see everyone play everything!

WHAT I’M LOOKING FORWARD TO NEXT MONTH…

EVERYTHING!! May is always one of our busiest months with school, work, family, and extra curricular activities, but I love it!

The pool opens next month!!

That’s it for today! We are heading to the golf course this afternoon. I’m learning a bunch from Jack and hitting so much better. Have a great day full of sunshine and books!
