Friday Favorites – 3/18/22

Happy Friday! This has been a good week! It was a five day week, but I think I’m used to working all five days because I wasn’t so tired on Thursday evening. I have a bunch of favorites to share with you from this week, so let’s get to it!

Linking up with Erika and Andrea

Favorite 1: BOOKS!! I’ve been listening to Going There by Katie Couric and I can’t get enough. I am actually listening to it as I type this post. I’ve been listening at work and every time I am in the car by myself. I love all the information Katie’s sharing because I am always curious about people’s lives. I wish she narrated it a little differently. I want her to speak like we are two girlfriends sharing a bottle of wine, but she uses her professional narrating voice. It makes sense, but I’d love her to be a little more casual.

I am also reading The Royals Next Door by Karina Halle. It’s light and fun and I am enjoying it.

Look at all those boxes! I came back from lunch and found 555 books waiting for our school wide book club! I love when our whole school reads a book together!

Favorite 2: SUNSHINE!! I was running an errand on Wednesday night and the sunset was gorgeous! I love a beautiful sunrise and sunset. They just make me smile!

One of our neighbors is making jewelry. I ordered a sunshine bracelet. She picked the bead colors and they are perfect! How great does the sunshine look with my sister and strength bracelets?

Favorite 3: ST. PATRICK’S DAY! I’ve been wearing my shamrocks and green for the past week. I love holiday sneakers that Brooks makes each year. I almost didn’t get them this year, but I am so glad I did. They are so cute and comfy!

Favorite 4: LUKE!! I am realizing that I only have a few more months with Luke at my school. I will have been at school with my boys for seven years in June and I love so many things about it! Luke was proud of his work and I love sharing this little moments with him at school.

I spent most of the weekend with Luke at a swim meet. He swam well. I was so excited to watch him from the stands! It was hot and humid and I loved it!!

Favorite 5: JACK!! The weather was gorgeous this week so Jack and I headed to the golf course. He played and I drove the cart. I haven’t seen him play in a few months and he can really hit the ball.

There weren’t many people on the course but we did find these two companions. They did not care about us at all.

Jack organized our family NCAA bracket. It’s always fun and I’m hoping I win. Wish me luck!!

Favorite 6: CLOTHES!! I have been working on wearing everything in my closet. I still rewear some favorites, but I’m trying to wear more. I’m doing a pretty good job of it. There are quite a few days I’d rather wear leggings and a tunic, but I’m sticking to it.

Hello Monday
Let’s Look

Jeff and I are going to divide and conquer on Saturday. I’ll take Luke to lacrosse and the Lego League state competition. Jeff will be with Jack for the basketball playoffs. Saturday will be an early night because we have to be up well before the crack of dawn on Sunday morning. We are heading to the sunshine! Have a great weekend full of sunshine and books!

So many wonderful favorites! How fun to have so many boxes waiting to be unpacked; a school wide book sounds like so much fun. We saw a few deer a time or two this weekend but I can never manage to get a photo of them as they take off the minute I move anything!
