This weekend was all about two things – earbuds and kids’ sports.

I’ve been wearing the same earphones for years. I love them, but they have a wire between the two. That wire didn’t bother me for a long time, but it keeps getting tangled in my mask and I’ve had enough! I listen to audiobooks and podcasts when I grocery shop and when I’m walking during the boys’ practices so I needed ones I love. I have small ear canals and small or weird shaped outer ears so I am very picky about headphones. This week I ordered a bunch of pairs of Bluetooth earbuds.

I’ll start by saying I’ve tried all the iterations of AirPods and AirPods Pro. I don’t love them and they don’t feel good in my ears, even if I change the silicone piece. So I ended up finding three pairs that were comfortable and stayed in my ears. Also, these pictures are silly but they are the best I’ve got.

Pair 1 – These stay in my ears, even if I shake my head like I’m trying to get water out of my ear. But I think they look a little weird.

Pair 2 – These stay in my ears and the sound is good. They are a little more expensive than the other two pairs. I took them for a half hour walk yesterday and they were comfy. I would like to give them one more shot because I think I heard a little rattling sound.

Pair 3 – These are comfortable and stay in my ears. My only hesitation is that Jack has a pair that is very similar and I don’t want to get them mixed up as one of us is dashing out the door.

I feel like I’m going a little crazy finding the perfect pair. I like pair two, but I am not quite sure. Do you have a pair of Bluetooth earbuds that you like? I’d love to have any recommendations.

The second theme of my weekend was kids’ sports. On Saturday, Luke played a basketball game and his team got their first win!

Jack’s team played an early afternoon game and they won, too!

Kourtni and I showed up to the game matching! I love an accidental twinning!

After the game, Jack and I hustled to his swim meet. He swam two events and dropped time in both! I went in to the building for a moment and was able to catch Jack swimming. Woohoo!

Jack and Jeff headed to another basketball game Saturday night. Luke and I headed to bed when they went to the game.

On Sunday, Luke and I finished a puzzle that we’ve been working on all week.

Then Jack, Luke, and I headed back to the pool for the second day of the swim meet. Both boys swam so well this weekend! I am so proud of them. Their hard work has definitely paid off. I couldn’t watch them swim on Sunday so I was back in my mobile office, reading, working on my calendar, and working on my to do list.

We are gearing up for a fun week. The boys are taking their first snowboarding lesson on Wednesday and are so excited. I am meeting some girlfriends for dinner and our secret Santa exchange. We keep getting postponed and I can’t wait to see these girls and spend some good time together. Have a great week full of sunshine and books!
