Happy Wednesday! I am linking up with Anne to share five things we are currently doing. The prompts are perfect for the beginning of the year. Here we go!

I am anticipating…
Another snow event! We had a 2 hour delay on Monday in our county. Jeff works in a different county than I do and he had snow days on Monday and Tuesday. They are forecasting snow overnight on Thursday night, so we’ll see what happens on Friday. I love the excitement and anticipation of snow days and delays. I know they can be a pain for some working parents. As a teacher in my kids’ school district, they are nothing but fun.

I have my snowflake earrings ready for the winter.

When I was working in our garage (see organizing below), I found this projector (similar here) that I bought for school, but brought home at some point. The snow actually swirls around. I told the kids if they woke up and the snow was falling in the hallway, we had a delay or snow day. It was pretty fun on Monday!

I am organizing…
Every single thing I touch! We didn’t have any plans for our winter break so I organized and cleaned out areas of the house as I used them. I have a bunch more to do, but I am saving them for any snow days. So far I’ve organized and purged:
- Everything in Jack’s closet but his clothes
- The guest room desk
- School supplies
- Stationary
- Garage cabinets
- Snow clothes
- Photographs
- Christmas books
- All the gift wrap and boxes
- My makeup drawer
Look at this fun picture I found. It’s me – life-long beach girl!

I still want to go through:
- Jack’s clothes
- Luke’s clothes
- Hand me down clothes in the basement
- My sweaters
- Luke’s closet
- Luke’s bookshelf
- Some bins in the basement
I am reading…
Not as much as I would like to! I haven’t been sitting down much so I’m not reading as much as I usually do. Right now, I am reading A Season for Second Chances by Jenny Bayliss. Hopefully, I can get a few hours in this weekend. I picked out my next audio book, but I am not quite ready to start. I am going to listen to Atomic Habits by James Clear. I started reading it last year, but I think I want to listen to it.

If you want to see all the books I read last year, check out my Books 2021 page. There are also links to my previous reading years at the bottom of that page.
I am resolving…
Nothing yet! It feels so unlike me, but I don’t have my resolutions yet. I need to make some resolutions by the end of the week. I am thinking about a water goal, a running/exercise goal, and a character improvement goal.
I am trying to wear real work clothes to work. I have a bunch of clothes that I love – pants, sweaters, tops, shoes – but haven’t worn in a while. I leaned into all the comfy clothes last year. I am resolving to wear the clothes I have for work this winter.

I am scheduling…
A bunch of appointments for everyone – haircuts, doctor visits, dentist, and a booster for Jack when it’s approved.
I am scheduling my workouts. I’d love to workout in the morning before school, but I don’t get to bed early enough to feel good waking up that early. I am happy to workout in the afternoon, but I have to schedule a time for it or I don’t do it. I am back to the Faster Way to Fat Loss and I love the workouts. They are about 30 minutes and include HIIT and weights. I add in some cardio because I love it.
I am trying to schedule some reading time at work. I haven’t been reading as many books at work as I would like, so I’ve started blocking out some time to do just that.
I’d love to hear what you are anticipating, organizing, reading, resolving, and scheduling. Be sure to come back Friday to see what happens with our snow event! Have a great day full of sunshine and books!

That beach photo of you is so cute!!! And I love the snowflake light machine. What a FUN way to announce a snow day. Also, I told my husband that if we had to cancel our Winter Break trip to see my parents for any reason, then I would spend our time at home organizing and cleaning. Thus, I am slightly envious of everything you got accomplished over your break!
Love all the snowflake things! Our area had the same mixed weather on Monday – where I live there wasn’t even one flake of snow, but on the other side of the county there was blizzard conditions. I’m also reading Atomic Habits right now and finding it very practical and helpful.
