Let’s Look – 12/8/21

Happy Wednesday! It’s the second Wednesday of the month so I’m joining the Let’s Look link up. This month we are looking at favorite traditions.

LInking up here

In January, the topic was coffee bars. I don’t drink coffee but I did share my favorite mugs and tumblers.

In February, I shared my love language.

In March, I shared my perfect night in.

In April, I shared my refrigerator and pantry.

In May, I shared our outside organization.

In June, I shared our summer fun list.

In July, I shared our bathroom organization and favorite products.

I skipped August, but in September I shared my meal plan.

In October, I shared my holiday storage.

In November, I shared my Thanksgiving menu.

Oh, I have so many favorite holiday traditions! There is no way I can get them all in this post, but I’m going to do my best.

Christmas Eve dinner – Christmas crackers, Jolabokaflod books, our delicious meal, new pjs, ornaments for something special that year, my grandmother’s tablecloth and napkins, our “fancy” chargers

We always bake cookies with my mom using my grandmother’s sand tart recipe.

Jeff always worked late on Friday nights so the boys and I drive around every Friday night in December to look at lights in all the neighborhoods around our town. We have a few favorite houses we always drive by and are always on the lookout for new houses with tons of lights. We usually get a fun drink – hot chocolate, peppermint chocolate chip milkshake, or slurpee – as we drive.

I love Santa coming through on the fire truck. Some years we miss it in our neighborhood because of practices, so we drive to a friend’s neighborhood to see Santa.

A church near us has a drive thru nativity every year. We haven’t missed a year since we moved to this house!

We love to go to the Electric Lights Parade.

We love to go to light displays – Hershey park, the National Zoo, the Gaylord, Enchant Christmas, and Symphony of Lights, to name a few

I love the years we go to a show around Christmas. We’ve seen Aladdin, the Lion King, and the Nutcracker.

I love to make my buttercream candy at Christmas.

Of course we decorate Christmas trees and hang our stockings. We put cookies and milk out for Santa, too. And it wouldn’t be December without reading Christmas books! I can’t wait to see everyone else’s holiday traditions! Have a great day full of sunshine and books!

Your Christmas Eve book tradition is so special! I love all your light display photos. You are able to see so many great displays! Going to the theater is a wonderful tradition too.
