Happy Friday! I can’t believe another week has passed already. I had a really productive and relaxing week. Both boys were at camp and I made the most of it. I have a bunch of favorites from the week so let’s get to them.

Favorite 1: SPA DAY!! I’ve never had a spa day and I wanted to try one before I turned 40. Well, with covid and the mask mandate, I didn’t do it. My parents gave me a spa day for my birthday and I made the appointments this week. It was the most glorious thing ever! Why have I waited 40 years to get a facial?? I definitely will not be waiting 40 more years to have another. In addition to my skin feeling great after, the massage was lovely, too. I also got a luxurious manicure and pedicure. It was a favorite to feel so pampered!

Favorite 2: CAMP!! Jack and Luke are having the best time at camp. Most summers, Luke goes to a week of camp on his own, Jack goes to a week of camp on his own, and they go to a week together. It is nice because then I get a week with each kiddo and a week to myself to get a bunch of things done. The timing didn’t work out this year so they are just going to a week of camp at the same time. Luke is loving soccer camp and asked to go twice next year. Jack is loving basketball camp with some buddies.

Favorite 3: DOLPHINS & SHARKS!! It is shark week and I am here for it. I love sharks, even though I never want to run into one in the ocean! When Cora’s Den introduced shark earrings, I knew they were coming home with me for summer.

I also customized these fun dolphin earrings! Our swim team mascot is the dolphins and I can’t wait to wear them at the meet on Saturday!

Favorite 4: POOL!! Even though the kids are at camp, I’ve been to the pool quite a bit. On Wednesday, I was there FOUR times! If there is anywhere I want to go four times in one day, it’s the pool. I’ve been there to do some swim team work, for book club, to take the kids to swim, and best of all, to read quietly in the sunshine!

Favorite 5: BOOKS! I finished two books this week. Both of them were recommended by Amy. She liked Float Plan better than Shipped, and I did too. They were both good summer reads and made me want to travel again. Watch out world, I’m coming for you!

Favorite 6: GOLF! Jack is playing in the junior league at our golf course. Last night, we met them after his round for dinner. Jack hasn’t played much golf this year because it conflicted with his baseball schedule but it isn’t showing. Last night, he holed out from the fairway and got his first eagle! He was so excited and I am so proud of him!

Favorite 7: SUNSHINE! The golf course had a summer cocktail special called a Malibu Sunrise. It was so delicious and beautiful! I can’t wait to see the beach sunrises next week!!

The sun was hiding behind the clouds as it was setting this week. I love how the rays are shining up.

Favorite 8: WORD SEARCHES! I’m not very good at sitting and watching tv without doing something else. I tend to read while we watch tv, but I feel like I’m not very involved when I do that. So I picked up this word search book. It’s easy to do while we are watching tv and still be a part of the conversation with my family. The boys love them, too, and have been snuggling up next to me looking for words.

Favorite 9: SKINCARE! In the past year, I started taking better care of my skin. I started using products that were better for me and make my skin look and feel great. This line up keeps my skin soft, moisturized, and blemish-free.

I am hoping to have one more really productive day today to be ready for our weekend. The kids have a swim meet on Saturday. I was hoping to stay at the pool for a little while that afternoon. Have a great day full of sunshine and books!
