Show Us Your Books – 7/13/21

Happy Tuesday! It’s a two book post Tuesday and those are my favorites! I have a few new books coming out today on my Tuesday Book Release Day post. I have a bunch of books to share here, too. I had a great reading month and hit my summer stride! I’m linking up with Steph and Jana to show you my books.

You, Me, Everything by Catherine Isaac ☀️ ☀️ ☀️ ☀️ ☀️

I would love to spend a few weeks at the chateau in this book. A single mom takes her son to get to know his dad, who owns the chateau. There are a few surprises that crop up in the book and I thought it was a good summer read.

The Road Trip by Beth O’Leary ☀️ ☀️ ☀️ ☀️

This book describes a terrible road trip to get to a friend’s wedding complete with two exes, a new mom who’s getting away for the first time, a wedding crasher, a jerky friend, and a truck driver. Everything bad that could happen, happens, but everyone finds a way to redeem themselves in a way that I enjoyed.

Under the Southern Sky by Kristy Woodson Harvey
☀️ ☀️ ☀️ ☀️ ☀️

Kristy Woodson Harvey is one of my favorite summer authors and she did not let me down this time! I loved how Cape Carolina, Amelia and Parker’s hometown, played such a big role in the story. Kristy’s description of the town makes me want to plan a visit right now. I loved this book of old friends, family, and new beginnings!

Golden Girl by Elin Hilderbrand ☀️ ☀️ ☀️ ☀️ ☀️

ELIN, I LOVE YOUR BOOKS!!! I really loved Golden Girl. I thought the premise of the book was neat and I am so curious about the parallels to Elin’s life. I would love to have happy hour with Elin and pick her brain. On the cover, the two books that Elin has written sequels to are listed. I hope she writes a sequel to this one, too!

People We Meet on Vacation by Emily Henry ☀️ ☀️ ☀️ ☀️ ☀️

Like Emily Henry’s Beach Read, the title doesn’t really match the story. I enjoyed the story and how it jumped around to the 12 years of vacations that Alex and Poppy have taken. I knew how the story would end, but I liked the journey Poppy and Alex took to get there.

The Sixth Wedding by Elin Hilderbrand ☀️ ☀️ ☀️ ☀️ ☀️

Oh, Elin did it again. I loved 28 Summers and I loved the sequel. Revisiting the characters that Mallory left behind and knowing that they are doing just fine was wonderful. If Elin decided to write another sequel, I’d read it in a heartbeat.

Shipped by Angie Hockman ☀️ ☀️ ☀️ ☀️

This book kept getting mentioned and then Amy mentioned it, so I decided to dive in. It was a fun, summer read and I finished it in just a few days.

I just started Float Plan by Trish Doller on Amy’s recommendation again. I’ll let you know what I think soon. I hope I’ll have another big reading month this month. We are going to the beach and that is always good reading and we’ll be poolside a good bit, too.

Summer Sarah was in full effect this weekend and my Monday post didn’t go live until after 10 am. I shared our home renovations updates if you want to check them out. Have a great day full of sunshine and books!

Golden Girl and People We Meet on Vacation are both on my list! I do not blanket enjoy Elin books but the last few I have.

I just finished Float Plan on Sunday and started Shipped yesterday (I’m already 1/2 way through) and both are such cute stories.

Good reminder that I have meant to pick up The Road Trip – I really enjoyed her previous two books. Shipped does sound like a fun summer read too.
