It’s our last Friday of school!! That is definitely a favorite!! The kids have a full day Monday and and half day on Tuesday. I have to work Wednesday, Thursday, and a little on Friday, but then it’s full on summer!!
Favorite 1: VACCINES!! Jack got his second vaccine shot this week! He did a great job and had minimal side effects.
Favorite 2: BOOKS! I shared the books I’ve been reading this week and I had a pleasant surprise! I didn’t love The Floating Feldmans by Elyssa Freidland, but I wanted to read Last Summer at the Golden Hotel. It was described as Schitt’s Creek meets Dirty Dancing meets Marvelous Mrs. Maisel and I love all three of those. I was so happy I read it!
I’ve been powering through kids books. I read three historical fiction books where the main characters couldn’t catch a break. The books are so good but I really felt for those 3 girls!
Luke goes through phases where he loves listening to books. He’s listening to the Spy School series by Stuart Gibbs right now and loving it!
Favorite 3: POOL!! I’ve been sneaking in a few hours at the pool during swim team practice. It has been so hot that evening pool time feels great after school.
We had the first meeting of our pool book club. It was just a few of us, and I didn’t finish the book yet, but it was fun!
Favorite 4: BASEBALL! After a full weekend of baseball, Jack’s team was back on the field Tuesday. Jack is really playing well. He’s learned a ton this year and I am so proud of him!
Favorite 5: OLD FAVORITES!! I’ve been trying not to repeat outfits and I pulled out this old favorite. It’s Lilly and covered in little safety pins.

Yay for pool time! What a pretty dress you “found.” I try not to repeat outfits too but when I put together a favorite it’s so hard not to wear it over and over and over.
