Tuesday Book Release Day

Happy Tuesday! I just have one book for you today and I am so excited about it! KWH is one of my favorite authors and when I met her she was as sweet as could be. I love how she has teamed up with some of my other favorite authors for Friends and Fiction! I have a few questions for you about meeting authors and virtual book talks at the end. I can’t wait to hear what you think!!

We wrapped up our spring birthday and Easter marathon yesterday with Luke’s birthday. Jack and Luke’s birthdays are 19 days apart and Easter is usually during those 19 days. It’s a fun celebration marathon full of sweet treats and I love it every year. The boys wanted to do small things with their friends to celebrate, but we are waiting a bit because we want to wait until none of their friends are quarantined as a close contact. It is what it is this year.

Under the Southern Sky by Kristy Woodson Harvey

Recently separated Amelia Buxton, a dedicated journalist, never expected that uncovering the biggest story of her career would become deeply personal. But when she discovers that a cluster of embryos belonging to her childhood friend Parker and his late wife Greer have been deemed “abandoned,” she’s put in the unenviable position of telling Parker—and dredging up old wounds in the process.
Parker has been unable to move forward since the loss of his beloved wife three years ago. He has all but forgotten about the frozen embryos, but once Amelia reveals her discovery, he knows that if he ever wants to get a part of Greer back, he’ll need to accept his fate as a single father and find a surrogate.
Each dealing with their own private griefs, Parker and Amelia slowly begin to find solace in one another as they navigate an uncertain future against the backdrop of the pristine waters of their childhood home, Cape Carolina. The journey of self-discovery leads them to an unforgettable and life-changing lesson: Family—the one you’re born into and the one you choose—is always closer than you think.

**As always, the summary comes from the author’s or publisher’s website because they know it best.**

My copy of Under the Southern Sky should arrive today. If you need me, I’ll be reading it! Kristy Woodson Harvey was the first author I connected with through this blog and I was so excited to meet her. She was just as lovely as I thought she’d be and her books have made me a fan for life!

Kristy was absolutely charming and I cannot wait to read her new book!

I have the most incredible independent bookstore in my hometown and they take online orders if you want to support A Likely Story! I have had the opportunity to meet a bunch of authors and hear them talk about their books through my bookstore and public library. It is so much fun! I haven’t done many virtual author book talks, but the ones I have attended are great. Have you ever met an author or been to their book talks? Are you taking advantage of how accessible authors are becoming to everyone with virtual book talks?

If you haven’t ready Kristy’s backlist, I highly recommend all of her books! Have a great day full of sunshine and NEW books!
