Friday Favorites – 3/26/21

Happy Friday! This has been quite a whirlwind week! Spring sports are in full go mode and our home renovations are making some big moves forward! I’m so excited but it also means that I’ve been mopping my floor and cleaning dry wall dust off every surface when I get home from school. I have some favorites to share from this busy week.

Linking up with Erika and Andrea

Favorite 1: SPRING!! I am so happy that we painted our door coral! I just love the color and it is perfect in spring! The coral door, a forsythia wreath, and a fun spring doormat are so great together.

I shared some of our spring traditions yesterday. Our spring is usually busy and this one is lining up to be the same.

My springtime seat = the driver’s seat of my minivan

Favorite 2: JACK!! Jack had his fifth first day of school on Monday! I call it his 5th first day of school because we have been virtual, hybrid with 2 day cohorts, virtual, hybrid with 2 day cohorts, and now everyone in middle school can come four days a week. We had such a busy day that I didn’t get his first day of school picture until we got to baseball practice that night.

Favorite 3: BOOKS!! Luke and I had a great time reading Dog Man: Mothering Heights on Tuesday night! He was so excited to start reading the new book!

I started Grace & Steel about the women of the Bush dynasty and it is starting out great. It’s a long book (502 pages), but I borrowed it from the library so I need to get reading.

Favorite 4: EASTER!! I had so much fun wearing my bunnies and eggs this week! The kids at school just love them and so do I! These sparkly eggs are A-MAZ-ING!!

Favorite 5: VIRGIN RIVER! I started watching Virgin River a while ago and all of the sudden I am midway through season 2. I’m not sure how it happened, but I’m enjoying it. The scenery is gorgeous! I was describing it to a friend and described it as a dark Hallmark. It’s light and fluffy, but a little darker than Hallmark movies tend to be.

Favorite 6: BLAZER! I am working on going through my clothes. I’ve cleaned out some of my athleisure clothes. If I didn’t wear it in the past year when comfy clothes ruled my wardrobe, it needs to go. I am focusing my spring clothes now. I didn’t really have a chance to wear them last year so anything I don’t reach for this year is going to go. I picked up this blazer at Old Navy two years ago and I never wore it. I wore it on Thursday as a last chance wear. Guess what? I’m keeping it. It’s soft and stretchy and super cute with light jeans.

This picture caught my eye this week. It’s a great reminder as spring kicks it into high gear. In fact yesterday, I decided that I could put our kitchen back together OR I could make dinner. I chose to put our kitchen back together and had dinner delivered. I hope that I can remember this and find ways to make my life a little easier this spring.

I loved season 1 of VR. I’m hoping to start season 2 soon. Your blazer is fabulous! The quote definitely hits home for me. I need to remember that for sure. I hope you have a great weekend.

Love the Easter jewelry! The blazer looks great! Such a good point about clearing out clothes – if you didn’t wear it in the last year. Congrats on renovations moving forward but I hate the dust so I feel for you!
