Friday Favorites – 3/19/21

Happy Friday!! This was one tiring but great week! I’m actually off today and I have a list a mile long to accomplish between appointments. I have some fun favorites to share with you with some spring fever!

Linking up with Erika and Andrea

Favorite 1: FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL!! Starting Monday, all elementary students in our county could come to school for all four days. Wednesday is still virtual. It was unofficially our 5th first day of school. In September we started virtually with a modified schedule. In October we started a two day cohort hybrid schedule. In November we went back to virtual with our regular school schedule. In January we went back to our two day cohort hybrid schedule. And now in March all elementary students can come all four days. Middle and high school students start back all four days next week. Here are these cuties on their 5th first day of school.

I am still tired like it is the first week of school because half the kids have never been in our school library or haven’t been there in a year. It is nice to make full seating charts knowing their personalities and names, though. And it is really really wonderful to see all these smiling eyes back in school. This week went really well and I’m excited for next week when the routines are set and we are ready to roll!

Favorite 2: BOOKS!! I had a great week on NetGalley!! If you haven’t heard of NetGalley, it is a website to apply for free e-galleys of books in exchange for an honest review on a blog, instagram, or goodreads. I have saved SO MUCH MONEY using NetGalley. I go through fits and spurts getting books but I took some time this week and requested a bunch of the spring and summer books I am looking forward to reading. NetGalley was feeling super generous this week because I got approved for just about everything! I am so excited to get reading.

Favorite 3: PINK!! I am always on the quest for the perfect pink nail polish. For me, the perfect pink is a lighter, opaque pink that has some good shine. I found this one this week and I love it! It is OPI infinite shine in It’s A Girl. It’s a great color for spring and I plan on wearing it a bunch!

Favorite 4: JACK!! Oh my goodness, something big happened yesterday. Jack got new sneakers and his shoes are officially bigger than mine. I knew the day would come but I didn’t think it would come so soon!

Favorite 5: LUKE!! During Jack’s baseball practice this week, Luke and I hung out in our mobile office. I’ve been spending a lot of time in my mobile office lately between Jeff’s surgery, practices with no parents allowed, and cold weather when parents are allowed. We finished our work in time to play on the playground a bit. We laughed so hard on the seesaw!

Favorite 6: EARRINGS!! I’ve been wearing my shamrock earrings for weeks and I love them!

As of Thursday, I moved into Easter mode! How adorable are these Peeps earrings and necklace?

This gingham bunny necklace is so fun!

And these glitter eggs are spectacular!! 🤩 They’re all from Cora’s Den. They have so many great spring and Easter items right now. It’s all I can do to keep from ordering every day! You can use code SUNSHINEANDBOOKS10 to save 10%.

Let’s Look – A Perfect Night In

We have a fun weekend with another soccer tournament and the boys’ first swim meet in over a year! They are excited and so am I!! The great thing about swim meets is that I get to watch the boys swim and it is lots of reading time! I am so ready to welcome spring on Saturday! Have a great weekend full of sunshine and books!

Happy 5th first day of school! What a crazy year it’s been! I wear an assortment of shade of pink polish! I will have to add that one to my list. Both of my kids have big feet! Hadley is close to my size. 😂 I love all your Easter accessories! So fun! Have a great weekend!

It’s amazing how fast that happens isn’t it? All three of my boys have long since passed my shoe size (and I’m a size 10). They’ve even passed my husband by this point! I’m officially the shortest in the house too… now that is a really weird feeling.
