Happy Saint Patrick’s Day! Before we get to the Let’s Look topic, I have two fun throwback pictures to share. Jeff and I went to Ireland with my family in 2003 and here is one of my favorite pictures from the trip at the Cliffs of Moher.
And could these two be any cuter on St. Patrick’s Day?? I’m don’t think they could!!
Back to 2021 where we have perfected the art of a night in because we’ve been doing it for a whole year!! We did eat in a restaurant for the first time on purpose on Saturday night. We got caught in a rainstorm on a patio once this summer. It felt good, but weird for sure. Ok, let’s get to back to the topic – Let’s Look: A Perfect Night In
My perfect night in always starts with comfy clothes or pjs. I love these from Lilly, Lands End, and Nordstrom! If it’s chilly, I may even throw a robe or my pajama cardigan on over my pjs.
I am definitely not cooking on my perfect night in either. We’d probably get some yummy takeout with appetizers from a local restaurant. Our favorites in town are Mexican, crab cakes, pit beef/bbq, and classic American. One of the best things to come from the pandemic is cocktails to go! We bought our fair share of margaritas this year and I don’t regret it one bit!
My family loves to play games, so we’d probably add that to our perfect night in. We play board games like Clue and Battleship. We love Racko and Rummikub! We also love games that make us laugh like Beat It, Kids Against Maturity, and Headbandz.
I would love to snuggle in and watch a show or sport on my perfect night in. I usually read when the tv is on and that’s great, too! I couldn’t have a perfect day/night/anything without some reading. Luke is our big snuggler, but with our current renovation furniture situation everyone gets to snuggle all the time.
One last thing for my perfect night in is to fall asleep on the couch or chair. I love doing that. Jeff always wakes me up when he’s ready to go to bed, but that couch sleep is so good. It feels like I’m sneaking sleep before a full night’s sleep.
I love to have friends and family over, but we haven’t done that much lately. What would your perfect night in look like? I can’t wait to hear! Have a great day full of sunshine and books!

I love the Ireland photos. My mom was able to visit Ireland with friends a couple of years ago. Comfy clothes are a must for me as well! I should have included that in my post!
