Hello Monday – 3/15/21

Happy Monday! We had a fun weekend with some big steps back to something that resembles a little normalcy. I’m sharing our weekend in pictures with lots of sunshine, but not very much book time.

Linking up with Tanya and the girls

I love how Swig tumblers and mugs are stainless steel and can go in the dishwasher. They keep my drinks so cold! It is amazing! I had some credit so I decided to order the sizes I love in the colors I love. I always add on the Swig surprise because it’s such a great deal. This time it was the 32 oz tumbler on the left. Those are my colors and I love it!

Luke had a soccer tournament this weekend. They played Friday night, Saturday afternoon, and Sunday morning and afternoon. He got to play goalie for a little bit on Friday evening.

Soccer cutie!

Jack’s baseball team had their field work day on Saturday morning. It was great to see a bunch of 11 and 12 year olds doing hard labor to get the fields ready! They followed 2 hours of field work with 2 hours of practice. It was a little chilly, but a great day to be outside!

I met a few girlfriends at a friend’s house for lunch on Saturday while Jack was at practice. I really love these Cora’s Den monogram earrings! They have overlapping S and P and I think they are so cool! Don’t forget to use code SUNSHINEANDBOOKS10 for 10% off.

On Saturday evening, we went to the golf course for a little while. The kids hit balls, chipped, and putted before we went in for dinner. Our golf course is opening their event tent for private dining in groups of 2-20. I have only eaten in a restaurant one time since everything shut down a year ago. This was so easy and fun and we will definitely be back.

The best part was the glass(es) of wine that someone poured for me and cleaned up for me. Our dinner was delicious and it was such a treat to not have to prepare, serve, and clean up our dinner.

We were back to the soccer field on Sunday morning. Jeff and I both went and it was so fun to watch our kids play sports together!

Jack and my dad played in a parent child golf tournament on Sunday. They had a blast and played really well!! I know Jack has really enjoyed playing golf with my dad on Sundays recently.

Luke’s team made the championship but came up a little short. I was so proud of them!!

Sunday date – soccer tournament ❤️

I signed up for the Made to Move summer race series this weekend. I’ve been putting it off because I wasn’t sure what team to join. There are 13 virtual teams to choose from, one for each flower. I decided on Team Joy!!

The yellow flower was my second flower and it is my inspiration for getting back to running. I am hoping to celebrate each step and remember that I am running because I get to. (Both images are from Fellow Flowers)

That was our weekend of fun! Today our 5th first day of school this year! Every student can come to school four days a week in elementary school as of today. I have a bunch of kindergartners that haven’t set foot in the library this year and half of the school hasn’t been in the library in a whole year!! I’m planning easy lunches and dinners because I have a feeling I am going to be first week of school tired again. I’ll see you tomorrow for Tuesday Book Release Day. Have a great day full of sunshine and books!
