Hello Monday – 2/22/21

Happy Monday! I’m sharing our weekend in pictures today. Enjoy!

This little cooler right here has been such a lovely addition to our home this weekend! Jeff had shoulder surgery on Thursday morning. This electric cooler is wonderful as it pumps freezing cold water through a wrap on his shoulder to keep it constantly iced.
I am a list writer through and through. Knowing we were going to be home for the majority of the weekend had me making lists to be a busy bee with all that icy snow outside.
I am generally adamant that my boys write thank you notes when they receive gifts. We had fun picking out the cards to use because these were the cards I printed their baptism invitations on.
Jack’s basketball team had two games this weekend – the championship and the consolation game. Jeff is the coach but he was not able to drive so soon after his surgery. So I am the chauffeur for now. 😊
And when I chauffeur Jeff and Jack, Luke rides along too. He loves listening to audible books in the car and while we are waiting to pick Jack up from school or after practices.
The facility where Jack plays basketball doesn’t allow any spectators so they livestream all the games. You can see a slinged-up Coach Jeff at the table and Jack warming up down there. It has been great to be able to watch Jack play and Jeff coach from the comfort of our couch all season long.
We were supposed to have 5-8 inches of snow last Thursday, but we ended up having some snow and a ton of ice. The little bit of snow froze completely and our backyard is now a solid sheet of ice. The boys and our neighbors have been having the best time ice skating and playing ice hockey all weekend.
The portrait mode on my camera is so much better than my previous phone! I love the pictures it can take!
I spent a bunch of time in my comfy clothes getting some work done and hanging with my guys this weekend.
We watched a lot of golf this weekend with Jeff laid up and the freezing cold weather outside. I actually quite like having golf on tv. It is so calm and soothing, even the announcers’ voices are lovely background noise. I also think that golf can be quite exciting, especially when they end with a playoff like this weekend.
After taking a Sunday off and paying for it this week, I am back to meal planning. I am excited to do a smoothie reset this week to pack my body full of nutrients and immunity boosters.
And to my mom and sister, can you even believe I am making salmon?!? 😂

That was a little look at our weekend. We may be getting a little more winter weather this morning and I am hoping it is not enough to keep us out of school. If we do get another snow day, I am going to make the best of with as much sunshine and books as I can! Have a great day full of sunshine and books!

    Looks like a great weekend! Kudos to Jeff for coaching only a couple days after surgery! Hayden had golf on this weekend too. He seems to always know when there’s golf on 😂have a great week!

    My husband’s great aunt just had knee replacement surgery and she swears by that same icer! We’re in for more snow today too.

    I hope Jeff is on the road to recovery. What a genius machine to keep him iced down. Did you buy it yourself or was it something through the doctor? Just wondering as I’m sure Michael has more knee surgeries ahead. The portrait mode photo is incredible…hard to believe it’s an iphone. Thanks for linking up with Hello Monday!
