Happy Friday! This has been a great week! We had two days of in person school on Monday and Tuesday, virtual learning at home on Wednesdays, and then a snow day on Thursday. We are heading back to school for one day and then it is a three day weekend! You can’t beat that!
Favorite 1: JACK!! The snow we had on Thursday wasn’t good sledding snow so Jack was looking for something to do. He decided to shovel our driveway and a few neighbors’ driveways also. He did a great job and I’m glad he’s ready to shovel. Our driveway is pretty long, so any help is welcome!
Favorite 2: GAMES!! I decided that we need to play different games. Most of our games are in the basement so we tend to play the same games over and over again. I workout in our basement so every few workouts, I’ll take a game back to the basement and bring a different one up to play. I brought Headbanz up this week and we had so many laughs playing!
Favorite 3: SNOW!! As much as I don’t love cold or snow, the kids have had a great time playing in the snow. The snow we had on Thursday was so beautiful! It clung to the trees and stayed there all day long! I was also pretty excited to wear my LL Bean boots. They are so perfect for the snow!
It does feel like we are in a snow globe that someone keeps walking by and shaking. That means our forecast looks like this:
Favorite 4: BOOKS!! I finished Happiness for Beginners by Carole Matthews. It was great and now I’m ready to read Christmas for Beginners next Christmas season. I am still enjoying my Atomic Habits book club too! Luke’s loving reading books and listening on Audible. We bring his iPad and book to school and he can listen to it while he waits for me to be finished working and while we are picking Jack up.
Favorite 5: LUKE!! I took the boys’ nerf basketball hoops down because I was ready for a little break from them. Luke clearly was not ready for a break and put his own up. His notes on his door make me chuckle every time.
Favorite 6: SUPER BOWL SNUGGLES!! Since we are down to two big comfy chairs in our family room, we got some good snuggles in watching the Super Bowl! The game was kinda boring, the half time show was fine, and the commercials were pretty good, but the snuggles were definitely the best!
Favorite 7: LIP BALM! I picked this up at the pharmacy the other day and I love it! Wearing a mask all day dries my lips out like crazy. This is so moisturizing and is a great subtle color when I’m not wearing a mask (which is pretty much never). The color I’m loving is Tickled Pink.

We have a pretty low key weekend with more winter weather expected. I’m not sure what we are doing for Valentine’s Day but we’ll be sharing the love for sure! Have a great weekend full of sunshine and books!!
