Let’s Look – 2/10/21

Happy Wednesday! It’s February Let’s Look and we are talking love languages.

Linking up with Shay and Erika

I have been thinking about taking the love language quiz for a long time and this spurred me to take it. I wasn’t really sure what to expect and I wasn’t even familiar with all of the love languages. It turns out that my primary love language is…

Acts of Service!! Quality Time is a close second. After I thinking about it, I am not surprised by these results at all. Right now, Jeff and I are in the throws of raising two great kids who are involved in a lot and we both work full time. We are BUSY and I generally get it all done, but a surprise help in any way speaks to me. You want to do the dishes? I love it! You want to pick up groceries? I love it! You want to pick the kids up from practice? I love it! I also wonder if love languages change through different stages of your life. When we aren’t as busy, will this still be my love language? I have no idea! Have you seen an evolution in your love language over stages of life?

Jeff and I have always “laughed” that I don’t need any alone time. In fact, I used to try to convince my sister to talk to me when I was in the shower. I literally needed ZERO alone time. As I’ve gotten older and busier I do enjoy some alone time, but I really enjoy quality time with the people I love. It refreshes me and makes me feel ready to take on the world. It doesn’t have to be a big or extravagant quality time. Going on a walk together and talking at the table after dinner is over with a glass of wine are two of my favorite things to do with people I love. I won’t turn down a weekend away or a girls trip because they fill me up, too.

I am looking forward to reading all my friends’ thoughts about their love languages today! What’s your love language? Did your quiz results make sense to you? I can’t wait to hear! Have a great day full of sunshine and books!
