Happy Friday! We had a very modified school week which made the week fly by! I had a work from home teacher work day on Monday, a snow day on Tuesday, teach from home Wednesday, and in person teaching Thursday/Friday. I’m linking up with Andrea to share my favorites from the week and a future favorite.
Favorite 1: SNOW!! I do not love cold weather, but I get excited about a good snow. We were supposed to have a BIG snow, up to 14 inches, but we only got about 6 inches. It was the perfect amount. It snowed off and on for three days! In between the snow was some freezing rain which makes for fast, fun sledding. The kids had the best time!
Favorite 2: TACO SAUCE!! I picked this up on a whim at the store and it is delicious! Jeff said it might be his new favorite condiment. It has a little kick to it, but not much. It’s delicious on everything you put it on!

Favorite 3: TUNIC!! This tunic is so comfortable and soft. I am sad that I didn’t get it in the other colors before it sold out. I wore it to school one day in the fall and a few other teachers ordered one that day. We all love it! It’s from Land’s End and I love it. I keep looking at the website to see if they’ve restocked.
Favorite 4: NAIL POLISH!! I love the Essie winter line. It has just the right amount of sparkle for me. This week I used 2 coats of OPI Alpine Snow with one coat of Essie Twinkle in Time. It takes the starkness of the white away and is still very shiny. I also have a few fun sparkly rings that I’ve been trying to wear more often. This pink one is one of my favorites.

Favorite 5: BOOKS!! You know I can’t have a Friday Favorites without books! I finished The Remarkable Journey of Coyote Sunrise Wednesday night and it was great! I cried like a baby for the last 40 pages or so, but it was a good cry. I am reading The Unsung Hero of Birdsong USA now. I’ve heard great things about this middle grade novel.

On our snowy day, I decided to pretend it was summer on Nantucket with my shirt. Hopping into an Elin Hilderbrand novel sounded like a great idea!

Favorite 6: SUNSHINE!! Sunny days with snow are always great because they feel so bright! I was loving the sunshine when we came home on Thursday because all the windows are in and this new family room is going to be so bright! 😎

I’ve been thinking about that Aruba sunshine this week. We were there a year ago and the photos keep popping up in my memories! ☀️ 😍

Favorite 7: LOVE!! I shared the love with my students virtually on Wednesday with these XOXO earrings! Perfect for Valentine’s Day! They’re from Cora’s Den.

Don’t forget you can always get 10% off your order with code SUNSHINEANDBOOKS10. It’s the perfect time to get some St. Patrick’s Day jewelry. I’m ready with these!

Soon to be Favorite: DECLARE IT DAY!! Every year for the past 4 years, I’ve gathered with some girlfriends on the first Saturday in February for Declare It Day! This is a chance to set some goals and decide how you want to push yourself, encourage yourself, or stretch yourself to reach those big goals. This year we are going to stay outside for the gathering because COVID. We’ll still move our bodies and set some big goals together. Here’s a look back at Declare It Day 2017, 2018, 2019, and 2020.

Love that you pretended it was summer- no better way to do that than an Elin novel 🙂 I love your Declare It Day Tradition too- so fun! Can’t wait to see what you come up with- have a great weekend Sarah!
6 inches is the perfect amount of snow…so pretty and fun for sledding! I love the Essie nail polish. So pretty! Declare it day sounds like an amazing time with friends. Have a great wet
*a great weekend
I love that nail polish and that tunic. I think we got close to a foot of snow in just under 24 hours.
Wow!!
