Happy Monday! We are ready for a 5 day week. I’ve meal planned, meal prepped, and I’m sharing some pictures of our weekend.
I saw this sweatshirt on an Old Navy ad and couldn’t resist. I was a little disappointed when it came and was so short. I decided to attempt to wear the trend to school on Friday. It didn’t bother me as much as I thought it might and the tank top gave it a little extra length, so I’m keeping it.
Saturday was a perfect blend of busy and down time for me. Jeff and I had to divide and conquer, but conquer we did! I took Luke to soccer and swim team practice. Jeff took Jack to baseball, soccer, and basketball. During Luke’s swim team practice I went to my friend Jodi’s to straighten out my lower back/hip area. Then we all met back at home and just hung out and watched some college and NBA basketball. We pulled Connect 4 out of the game shelf and we all rotated through the stools at the counter playing throughout the day.
On Sunday, Jeff and Jack went to Jack’s basketball game while Luke and I hung out at home and watched on tv.
Jeff and I have been settling into a nice little Sunday routine. We’ve gone to a different grocery store each morning and had a long walk each afternoon while the boys played outside. I’m going to miss this when things get busy again with double header baseball games.
On Sunday evening before the kids went to bed, we were talking about insurance commercials. Do you agree that they are some of the funniest commercials on tv? Progressive’s series of commercials trying to help people avoid turning into their parents. 😂 State Farm and the NFL players’ rates. 😂 Geico’s Tag Team commercial. 😂 They are so funny and are getting me excited for Super Bowl commercials!!
We had a great weekend! We have two storms coming through this week that could produce some winter weather. I’m torn between wanting a snow day and hoping for an early dismissal or two hour delay to get this year over without adding another hybrid day. I have five days of posts planned for the week, so be sure to come back and check in. Have a great day full of sunshine and books!
