Happy Friday! This week has absolutely flown by! Last week, I was all “we have 4 weeks until Christmas” and today I’m freaking out “less than 3 weeks until Christmas!!!” I’m linking up with Erika and Andrea to share my favorites from this fast week.

Favorite 1: BOOKS!! I feel like I have really hit my stride reading books in this round of virtual school. I’ve finally figured out the best way to show the book and my face to the kids, make the voices clear and not too loud, and make enough time in the lesson to connect with each kid.

I am still enjoying my Christmas books! I am in the middle of In a Holidaze by Christina Lauren and it’s good!

We are finishing up our school Book Fair at our local bookstore today. I took the boys to pick out some books this week. Jack picked out the same book he has picked out since kindergarten, Year in Sports 20–, and Luke picked some great graphic novels.

Favorite 2: SCHOOL SPOTS!! This week has been a good week for school. Everyone has taught or learned from at least 2 different spots. Both boys have been downstairs and in their rooms. I’ve been downstairs and in the guest room. On Tuesday when Jeff was home, he worked in two different rooms too. The big fun on Tuesday was when Luke had percussion, Jack had trumpet, and Jeff was on a call. I just giggled and read my book for school book club.
Favorite 3: CHRISTMAS JEWELRY!! I am loving my Christmas light earrings from Cora’s Den this year. They are perfect for virtual teaching!
I also love this favorite necklace from last year.

Favorite 4: PICTURES!! I was struggling to find a good picture for our Christmas cards so I decided to ask our neighbor if she could help us out. Sarah is the loveliest person around. She is a college student who is home for the semester. She babysits the boys. And she is a talented photographer! Here are two of my favorites from our 10 minute session with her this week. Be sure to come back on Wednesday to see our Christmas cards.

Favorite 5: ADVENT CALENDARS!! Last weekend we realized Jack’s advent calendar wasn’t going to make it in time and started scrambling. Jeff found an “easy” DIY online and I headed off to Micheals to get the supplies. Needless to say, that DIY did not work and I ended up creating HUGE advent calendars for both boys. Choo-Choo, our elf, brings the advent calendars when he comes. The boys were so excited to find these downstairs on Tuesday.

Favorite 6: INTERNET SHOPPING! Like most other people, I have been ordering up a storm lately. The other day, I had a UPS driver, USPS driver, and Amazon Prime driver in my driveway at the same time!! I saw this and it made me giggle because it’s so true!

Favorite 7: NAIL POLISH!! I cleaned out my nail polishes last weekend. As I was cleaning them out I realized that I only like two kinds of polishes – sparkly and light colors. I very occasionally wear dark colors because I hate to see the chips. After cleaning out and organizing my polishes, I happened across Essie’s winter line. A few of these may have (definitely) arrived at my house this week. 😍

Favorite 8: 30 MINUTES!! I love the Fellow Flowers Move Your A🌸🌸 challenge. All you have to do is intentionally move your body for 30 minutes or more each day. There’s a wonderfully supportive Facebook group for this free challenge. It is a great way to keep your body moving during this busy month!
We are excited for this weekend. Both boys have some sports but the weekend isn’t too busy. We are heading out tonight for our first drive around Christmas lights ride. I’m hoping to get some more Christmas shopping finished and enjoy some reading time in front of the tree on Sunday. I hope you have a great weekend full of sunshine and books!

Your running is always so inspiring to me- please keep posting about it. I LOVE your Christmas necklace too- so cheerful- have a wonderful weekend Sarah!
Cute family photos and I really like those nail polish colors. Thanks for the inspiration to keep moving more, especially during this season. Have a good weekend!
I love the Christmas card photos and your advent calendar. So sweet. Have a great weekend.
I’ve never had three delivery trucks in my driveway at the same time but I have had three of them on the same day! I have been ordering so much from Amazon too. I love your advent calendars and the family pictures turned out great.
Love that polish! Great photos and great idea! Are you allowed to go in to school or do you have to stay home now? So funny how all of you moved around!
