Happy Friday everyone! This has been quite a week. As excited as I am for Friday, I can’t believe it took us this long to get here! I’m linking up with Andrea and Erika to share my favorites from the week.
Favorite 1: LILLY!! If you have been here for any bit of time, you probably know that I love Lilly Pulitzer! I love her bright colors. I love her story. I love the cut of most of her clothing. This week was Lilly’s birthday and in honor of her day, the company put out wallpapers of her most fabulous quotes. I love them all and think they are definitely philosophies to live by!
Favorite 2: JEWELRY!! You all know that I love Cora’s Den and all their fun earrings and necklaces. I broke out my silver sparkle USA earrings for Veteran’s Day this week.
I discovered another small business jewelry maker on Instagram recently. The company is Finley Kate designs and I love this necklace. The big beads are so fun and the animal print bead in the middle is so great!
Favorite 3: THESE TWO! Do you ever go shopping with your kids and totally go with whatever fun they are having? We tried to run through BJ’s Wholesale Club this week without a cart. All I wanted was toilet paper, paper towels, and applesauce. Well, we ended up with 2 chickens, 4 milks, 2 lbs of ham, and the things on my list. Needless to say, a cart was necessary. Luke went to get it and came tearing back like he was on Supermarket Sweep. Then Jack wanted wanted to push and Luke hitched a ride. I had to laugh or I was going to lose my mind as we were hurrying through the store. Do they look like hurriers? Nope sure don’t!
Favorite 4: RUNNING!! How long has it been since running was a favorite around here?? A really long time!! I got a cortisone shot last week. Let’s stop right there. Oh my goodness! I like to think I have a fairly high pain tolerance and that I can withstand pretty much anything. That cortisone shot almost took me down. First the long needle, then the wiggling it around in my foot, then the actual pushing out of cortisone. I got super hot, then the whooshing sound in my ears, and I saw spots. I thought I was going to pass out for sure, but I powered through. And now, my foot feel so good!! I ran a half mile one day and a mile the next. It was AMAZING!!! I am taking it slow and being very gentle with my foot. But I AM RUNNING!!!!
Favorite 5: BAND!! Every other week Jack and Luke have instrumental class at the same time. I love it! This week Luke was playing the drum pad and the bells right behind me while Jack was serenading us with his trumpet. Our neighbor across the street is in Jack’s trumpet class so the whole road was rocking. It was warm and we had our windows open and our neighbor 3 doors down texted me to see what was going on between the trumpet duos and the drumming. It sounded like sweet music to me!
Favorite 6: PUMPKINS!! The warm weather continued through Thursday and it was perfect for my pumpkin T-shirt. I love the bright colors that aren’t Halloweeny so I can wear it all the way to Thanksgiving. How fun are hot pink pants??
That’s it for this week. I had a few other things planned for the week – Christmas stuff and some fun with my mom, but time just got away from me. Hopefully it will appear next week and that’s why I write in pencil.

Sorry you had to go through pain but so happy for you that you are comfortable enough to run again- yeah!! Ok where did you get that pumpkin shirt? I am obsessed with those colors!
I love the pumpkin shirt and the band on block! How fun. I’m sorry you had to get that shot…sounds horrible! But glad you can ease back into running. Have a great weekend!
