Hello Monday – 11/2/20

Happy Monday! We are getting ready for a short week and can’t wait for it. Schools are closed on Tuesday for Election Day. I’m not getting political on here but I will always encourage everyone to vote! If you haven’t already, educate yourself on the candidates today and VOTE!

I’m linking up with Tanya and the girls to share our fun Halloween weekend!

Luke kicked off the weekend by getting his braces off!
First stop, buy gum! This boy has been chewing gum ALL WEEKEND LONG!!
We were celebrating Kourtni’s birthday on Friday night so I made Halloween Candy chocolate trifle. It was delicious!
I am really loving this longer cardigan from Target! This colorway is sold out, but it’s so comfy I may get it in another color!
I slept until almost 9 on Saturday, which is unheard of for me! I came downstairs to the boys playing on their iPads together.
I was certain Luke was going to change his mind about being a house for Halloween, but he didn’t. So around 11 am, we started working on his costume.
Mission accomplished! Unfortunately, I should have stapled the shoulder straps. The house didn’t last all night but Luke was happy to change into a soccer player.
Jack was so excited to be a blow up costume!
Our annual Halloween porch picture 😍
Gigi and Pop came to hand monitor the candy table and hang out with us for Halloween! Jack ended up changing into a golfer halfway through trick-or-treating because it was so tight on his neck to keep the air in.
No tricks, all treats with these witches!
The final candy drop – time to organize and trade
These are the toothbrushes of 2020. All 4 boys got some in their trick-or-treat bags.
One last night for my jack-o-lantern earrings 😍
Everyone was up EARLY on Sunday because of Daylight Savings Time so we decided to early vote. I’ve never early voted before, but this year I am looking forward to the entire day off on Tuesday with nothing to do.
I love the Maryland stickers this year – the Bay Bridge, heron, our flag, and the Chesapeake Bay
Fancy voting – Cora’s Den had me ready to do my civic duty!
Jack’s golf match was canceled at the last minute due to rain so he got to watch his favorite team, the Steelers. We brought a second tv up to watch the Steelers on one tv and the Red Zone channel on the other tv.
Ready for the game!
Luke’s favorite team isn’t the Steelers, but he always cheers for them!
I started watching Hallmark Christmas movies this weekend and I am not sad about it!
As I finish typing this on Sunday evening, I am hoping that I will finish this book tonight. It’s so lovely!!

We ended the weekend with Jeff’s family. We had a campfire to celebrate his dad’s and our niece’s birthday. All of the cousins had a blast together and we had fun seeing everyone too! I’ll be back with two posts tomorrow – Amazon and Tuesday Book Release Day – and I hope you will be too!! Have a great week full of sunshine and books!

Looks like such a fun Halloween! That trifle looks amazing. We don’t have school tomorrow either, and I’ve already voted…I’m looking forward to a low key day tomorrow as well. Have a great week!

That is so cool that you all have school off on election day. I don’t think that would happen here in Tx because we literally have over a month of early voting available, so lots of people take advantage of that. Looks like you had a fun Halloween! Thanks for linking up with Hello Monday! Tanya – The Other Side of the Road

So much Halloween fun! My son doesn’t have school tomorrow because of voting too and we planned a hiking day with some friends of ours.
