Tuesday Book Release Day

Happy Tuesday! I am super excited about this Tuesday Book Release Day! And I am also a little sad about it.

If you’ve been here for any amount of time, you’ve probably seen or guessed that I LOVE ELIN HILDERBRAND’S books!! I really really love them! I sobbed reading 28 Summers because of the amazing story and mentioning Dottie Frank in the acknowledgements. I love everything about Elin’s books! Well, she has a book coming out today – Hooray!! – but that means we are one book closer to Elin retiring – Boo!! I’ve met Elin quite a few times, thanks to my amazing indie bookstore, A Likely Story, and the fact that her sister lives really close to me. A few years ago she said she was only writing a few more books – insert sobbing here – and with every book she publishes we get one book closer.

My love of an Elin book runs deep! Every time I meet her I get at least one signed book. Her hardback summer books and winter series have a special place in my bookshelf (aka heart).

The paperbacks are up on another shelf with my other beach read paperbacks.

I have the other two in this series, Winter in Paradise and What Happens in Paradise, on my kindle but I decided that I need a personalized, signed copy. You know I love indie bookstores, so I hopped right on the Mitchell’s Book Corner website and ordered the trilogy.

Must protect those books!!
Getting closer…
All 3 – To Sarah ❤️ Elin
😍

It just so happens that with an order of the newest book you got a bookmark and I read Elin sticker. That’s a fun perk!

I haven’t been to Nantucket yet, but you better believe that a trip to Nantucket is on my travel list. I don’t necessarily want to do an Elin Hilderbrand Bucket List weekend because I want to plan my trip according to all of my favorite book places. Ooo, I’m getting antsy to go just thinking about it. Elin’s instagram stories do a great job of showing Nantucket and making it look like the loveliest place on Earth!! Ok, enough about me, let’s get to the books!

Actually before we do that, I want to share this from Elin’s Instagram stories. I showed you on Monday and I’m showing it again because I love when authors do this!!

Troubles in Paradise by Elin Hilderbrand

After uprooting her life in the States, Irene Steele has just settled in at the villa on St. John where her husband Russ had been living a double life. But a visit from the FBI shakes her foundations, and Irene once again learns just how little she knew about the man she loved.
With help from their friends, Irene and her sons set up their lives while evidence mounts that the helicopter crash that killed Russ may not have been an accident. Meanwhile, the island watches this drama unfold — including the driver of a Jeep with tinted windows who seems to be shadowing the Steele family.
As a storm gathers strength in the Atlantic, surprises are in store for the Steeles: help from a mysterious source, and a new beginning in the paradise that has become their home. At last all will be revealed about the secrets and lies that brought Irene and her sons to St. John — and the truth that transformed them all.

Class Act by Jerry Craft companion to New Kid

Eighth grader Drew Ellis is no stranger to the saying “You have to work twice as hard to be just as good.” His grandmother has reminded him his entire life. But what if he works ten times as hard and still isn’t afforded the same opportunities that his privileged classmates at the Riverdale Academy Day School take for granted?
To make matters worse, Drew begins to feel as if his good friend Liam might be one of those privileged kids. He wants to pretend like everything is fine, but it’s hard not to withdraw, and even their mutual friend Jordan doesn’t know how to keep the group together.
As the pressures mount, will Drew find a way to bridge the divide so he and his friends can truly accept each other? And most important, will he finally be able to accept himself?
