Happy Sunday! I don’t say that very often on here but I am today! I am linking up with Holly and Patty to answer some fun fall and Halloween questions.
1 – Favorite Fall Tradition?
I have a few favorite fall traditions. I love going to the beach in the fall. For the past few years, we’ve gone to Ocean City or down to visit my sister when she lived near the beach. It’s usually pretty warm and we get one last blast of summer.
I also love doing a Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving. We’ve done them in Maryland and in Hilton Head, SC and I love them all. Everyone is so happy and it’s nice to all be together. I also love that my exercise is built in on Thanksgiving and I don’t have to get up super early to get it done.
We also LOVE the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. It’s a family favorite! One year my mom, sister, and I went to the parade and it was so fun!! I hope we get to go back again!
2- Favorite Halloween Tradition?
My favorite Halloween tradition is definitely trick-or-treating! I love seeing all the kids so full of joy!!
3 – What will Halloween look like this year for you and your family?
I have no idea! There are some people in our neighborhood that are definitely trick-or-treating and there are some people that definitely are not. I’m not sure what we are going to do.
4 – Share Your Favorite Fall Recipe
I think my favorite fall recipe is my chili. It always tastes and smells so good in the crockpot on a chilly day. We always have it on Halloween because it is easy and ready when anyone is ready to eat. I should probably share that soon!
5 – Favorite Fall Fashion Staples?
I love longer warm cardigans as fall weather starts rolling in.
I also love my fun festive earrings and necklaces!!
6 – Favorite Halloween Costume?
For the grown ups, my favorite was the year we went at the gang from Saved By The Bell with some friends.
I also loved our lifeguards from last year.
I loved the years Jack picked a UPS man and the Cat in the Hat.
I loved the years Luke was Mickey Mouse and Nemo.
Now my guys choose to be athletes who’s jerseys they want. It’s pretty smart and I love that they will wear their “costume” over and over again.
7 – Favorite Halloween Candy?
Anything Reese’s, but if I had to choose I would say Reese’s pumpkins, followed by Reese’s snack cups, followed by Reese’s mini cups, and then the big, sour gummy Lifesavers.
8 – Favorite Family Halloween Movie?
We always Watch It’s The Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown a few times. I love Hocus Pocus but I haven’t watched it with the boys yet.
9 – Scary Movies? Yes or No?
NO NO NO NO NO No!!! I do not watch scary movies ever.
10 – Favorite Fall Beverage?
Jeff made a delicious whipped vodka apple cider last year that was AMAZING!! I’ll have to share the recipe soon. I also love this hot tea. It is so cozy and doesn’t have caffeine so I can drink it anytime.

We have a party in our neighborhood every year and the hosts go all out! For a few years Jeff and I wore Thing 1 and Thing 2 and switched each year. Those costumes are still a running joke because the hosts got so mad, jokingly of course, that we didn’t pick something new. It was fun and easy but then we decided to change it up. But I think finding good costumes is stressful!!
Yes…I always feel like by the time I get my kids situated on what they want to be, I’m over it 😂
