Happy Friday! Whoa baby, I am ready for the weekend! It was teacher meeting week. After months and months of a pretty loose schedule, this was no joke! I didn’t have to be anywhere outside of my living room but I had to be camera ready at 745. And I was working until 3 or later every day. I know that doesn’t sound like much, but it’s a big change from what I was doing. I’m linking up with Andrea and Erika to share my favorites from this week!

Favorite 1: BOOKS!! This week was a HUGE week for book releases! The elementary librarian in me was so excited for all of the new books and graphic novels that came out! I was also really excited for Majesty to come out! I’ve been waiting for it since I read and loved American Royals!

I just finished Sex and Vanity by Kevin Kwan, too. It was really good and so beautiful just like the Crazy Rich Asians series. He left the ending kind of open, so I’m not sure if there is going to be a sequel or not. I hope so!

Favorite 2: SUNSHINE!! The sunrises and sunsets have been beautiful lately! I’ve been trying to get out each morning for a walk before I settle in at my desk for the day. I just love the glow of a sunrise!

And we’ve had some wild rainstorms this week too! We spent a little time in the basement for a tornado warning Thursday afternoon. When the threat passed, it was wild. The sun was shining so bright but it was still raining so hard.

Look what the boys found. I have no idea when Jeff brought that home, but the boys found it and love it!

Favorite 3: WORK!! As much as I love summer, I really do love my job and I am enjoying being back to work! I am loving seeing my colleagues on meetings and in passing in the halls. Most people are really stressed because we are trying something way more involved than in the spring, but I have faith in my colleagues and my kids’ teachers. We are going to be patient and grant everyone a bit of grace. Oh, and Diet Coke and cookies don’t hurt either. 😉

Favorite 4: MIDDLE SCHOOL!! I am not sure if this is really a favorite or not, but Jeff and I had Jack’s virtual Back To School Night for middle school this week. Time is really flying by!! He’s excited for middle school so we are excited too! I know he’s going to have a great experience and am so excited for him to get to know his teachers. They seemed so fun and excited about school!!

Favorite 5: EARRINGS!! I busted out some fun Cora’s Den earrings for all of my virtual meetings. They are perfect for that! The earrings are big but not too distracting and they make it look like I’m trying when I have a fun T-shirt on.

Favorite 6: THIS CUP!! One of my teammates got these for us at the end of the school year in the spring and I have been using it hard this week! Sometimes there is a caffeinated drink in there and sometimes there is wine (after work of course).

Favorite 7: AMAZON!! Friends, Amazon has come through big for me this month! I am loving everything I’ve gotten. I even found Bluetooth headphones that don’t hurt my ears. I’m finally moving into the 21st century! Hooray Amazon!!

Favorite 8: SUMMER! I kept this one for last because it seems so silly to have to remind people. But to quote the brilliant Elin Hilderbrand, September is still summer!! It is! It is a fact. Summer doesn’t end until the 22nd of September. So consider this your annual PSA and get out there to enjoy the rest of this summery month!!
