Happy Friday! We have had a week full of favorites! I am linking up with Andrea and Erika to share some of them today.

Favorite 1: BOOKS!! I started and finished 28 Summers by Elin Hilderbrand this week and it is so so so good!! I cried at the end of the book and while I was reading the acknowledgments at the very end. Dorothea “Dottie” Benton Frank is one of my favorite authors and Elin’s relationship with her sounds so lovely! Mallory and Jack have had a “same time next year” for 28 summers and I love how Elin fills us in on their lives through all 28 years. I loved that Mallory grew up in Baltimore and all the references that I recognized. I loved how Mallory’s and Jake’s lives kept winding back together. Elin refers to Mallory as “our girl” and by the second summer she really feels like your girl! I love how so much of Elin’s “real” life shows up in this book. This book will probably be my favorite book of the year. It is going to be so hard to top!

Favorite 2: FRIENDS!! We are spending the week on the beach with three other families. We’ve run into other friends on the beach, too. We’ve had fun playing football, flying kites, playing in the sand, and riding so many waves.

Favorite 3: FISHING!! We chartered a boat and went fishing in the bay this week. I caught a flounder!! He wasn’t big enough to be a keeper but I still gave him a big kiss! 💋

Favorite 4: SUNSHINE!! We have had so much sun this week! In fact one day, it was going to be so hot that the meteorologist suggested wearing socks on the beach so the sand didn’t burn your feet. There have been some beautiful sunsets though too!

Favorite 5: RUNNING! I’ve been running and walking this week and it’s been great. Even though it is hot, hot, hot, I love how super flat it is in Ocean City! I ran over to my favorite corner in town one morning.

Favorite 6: CORA’S DEN!! I know I keep talking about Cora’s Den, but they keep coming out with fun new things! Check out the back to school selection. They are on sale for 25% off through Friday at 5 pm.
