Hello Monday – 7/20/20

Happy Monday! I am linking up with the Hello Monday girls to share our weekend.

I needed to have a productive day on Friday and things started out going my way. The boys had haircuts at 7:30 & 8 am. They prefer fabric masks but we always opt for disposable masks for haircuts. The clean up is much easier!

We stopped by my friend Jamie’s to visit and borrow her bike rack. We don’t have one and were hoping to bring bikes to the beach this year. It was a perfect fit and works wonderfully on the minivan.

We headed from Jamie’s to pick up groceries and took a rock to the windshield. It instantly made a starburst and I was not happy!

I quickly unloaded groceries and took the boys to lap swim. While we were at the pool, the starburst got bigger. Not good!!

We headed home for the rest of the day to pack and get ready for the beach. On Saturday morning, we packed up everything we could possibly need (maybe more) and headed to the beach!

Saturday was a beautiful day and we enjoyed it. I finished One Perfect Summer by Barbara Novak. It was ok. The story was interesting but I felt like it would’ve been just as good of a story with about 20% fewer pages.

After eating and showering, Jeff taught the boys how to play Rummy. I have a feeling the game will be going on for quite some time.

On Sunday, we went for a walk/bike ride before heading to the beach. It was a great reading day!

Jodi and I are enjoying 28 Summers! Kourtni already finished it so she keeps checking in with us.

We had 8 boys, 8 parents, and about 8 hours on the beach! It was perfect!

We picked up carry out and headed back to the place for the night. I am excited for the week! Have a great week full of sunshine and books!

We play a lot of rummy in this house! Such a fun game. Sorry to hear about your windshield but your time at the beach sounds fabulous!
