Hello Monday – 6/29/20

Happy Monday! I can’t believe that this week is the end of June and the beginning of July! We had a great weekend and I’m sharing it here.

We spent a some time at the pool on Friday but didn’t stay all afternoon because Luke had soccer tryouts that evening. His tryouts were at a local park with a great walking/biking path. Jack has two buddies with younger brothers on Luke’s soccer team so they all decided to bring their bikes to ride around. One of the boys brought fishing poles so they could fish in the pond there, too.

Jodi and I walked almost 4 miles while the big brothers were biking/fishing and the little brothers were in the tryout. I always love a good walk with Jodi!! The sky was beautiful while we were walking!

On Saturday morning, Jeff and I went for a long walk while the boys played outside. We didn’t head to the pool when it opened because Jeff and the boys were planning on spending the afternoon there. I went to Black Ankle Vineyard with a few girlfriends and had the loveliest afternoon. We talked, laughed, cried, and enjoyed some delicious wine!

Isn’t it the most beautiful place to spend an afternoon?

I love this engraved bracelet from Stella & Dot! It says sunseeker, but sometimes look like funseeker. I think I am both. 😉

I also ordered some Amazon basics white tank tops recently and I love them. They aren’t too thick and aren’t see through. I thought these shorts were a perfect match for a fun monogrammed necklace!

I met Jeff and the boys at the pool for dinner and we stayed until they kicked us out. It was a fun evening with friends in one of our favorite places.

On Sunday, we started out around the house. I went for a run, Jeff got some things done, and the boys played outside. It was so beautiful outside but no one else wanted to go to the pool when it opened. I decided to clean out my comfy clothes. Anything I didn’t wear during our stay at home time went in the donate pile. It felt good to purge and I am certain that I have a bunch more that could go, but I wasn’t quite ready.

I headed to the pool around 1. Jeff and the boys came over a little later. We had to leave for thunder around 415 and that was ok. Jeff and Jack headed to the golf course. Luke and I stayed home and played. He had the whole Hess fleet out to play with all over the house and on the stairs. When I asked Luke to clean them up, he parked them like this – in order of age.

We played Battleship, read a little, and off he went to bed.

I am excited for our week. We are going to celebrate my mom’s birthday, have our first social event at the pool, and the 4th of July is this weekend! Be sure to come back tomorrow for Tuesday Book Release. Have a great day full of sunshine and books!

My oldest has a huge collection of Hess trucks too. I love those Amazon tank tops; I have a few and agree that they are just the right thickness.
