Happy Thursday! I think Thursday is a great day to share a drink recipe because it gives you time to pick up the ingredients for a Friday happy hour or to enjoy all weekend!
I am sharing the recipe for the delicious key lime crushes that Jeff made for our anniversary last week.
I love lime flavored things – limes in drinks, lime popsicles, limeade, margaritas, lime snowballs, but I really LOVE key lime. Key lime pie is my favorite!
A few summers ago, I discovered key lime crushes at Ropewalk in Ocean City, MD. They are so so so so so good!!! Just about every time we are at Ropewalk, I ask for the recipe. Even though I ask for it, I’ve never attempted it at home. Until now.
Here’s the recipe Jeff used with my suggestions added on.
Key Lime Crush by the Parsons
3 oz Whipped vodka – we used Pinnacle and it was delish
2 oz key lime juice – Nellie and Joe’s is the best!
2 oz simple syrup – we bought it instead of making it
Splash of club soda
Whipped cream
Lime wedges
Put ice in a 16 oz glass, crushed or Chick-Fil-a type ice is best.
Then add vodka, key lime juice, simple syrup, and splash of club soda in that order.
Flip over 1 time in a mixer/shaker glass.
Add whipped cream and a lime wedge.
Enjoy!!
Now, make another one because you’re going to want it!
I hope you have a great day full of sunshine and books and key lime crushes!
