Happy Friday! I am linking up with the Friday Favorites girls today to share my favorites from this week! It is our last 5 day week of school, so that’s a bonus favorite right there!
Favorite 1: OFFICE VIEW!! I have seen quite a few people that have been back to work and are enjoying their office view! I am still distance working and my office view looked like this for part of the week.
The boys worked really hard and got their work done for the week so they could enjoy their time on the beach! I was still participating in meetings and holding my google meets, but the view was pretty good!
Favorite 2: MAIN STREET!! Our Main Street won the national contest for the Best Main Street of America this week! We celebrated by getting haircuts from our favorite barber in town who is on Main Street! The boys were so shaggy and look so good with their haircuts! Our favorite barber is right in the window so while one boy got a haircut, the other got to walk down the street for some yummy ice cream. After haircuts and ice cream, we stopped in at the bookstore to get a beach book for everyone to read.
Favorite 3: ROCKET!! It was so exciting to watch the rocket launch on Saturday! We were truly watching history in the making. We also loved keeping up with the Dragon as it docked on the ISS.
Favorite 4: CORAL!! Jeff repainted our front door this weekend and it looks great! It is Quite Coral by Sherwin Williams and I love how it brightens up the front of our house.
Favorite 5: SCHOOL!! We picked up the boys things from school this week. It was quite bittersweet but it was nice to see my colleagues and the boys’ teachers! This was one of the cute signs for the 5th graders.
Favorite 6: WHAT WOULD YOU LIKE TO DRINK? We went to our first restaurant this week and it was amazing! My two favorite parts were being asked “what would I like to drink?” and not having to clean up any dishes or takeout containers!! I picked a key lime crush and it didn’t disappoint!
Favorite 7: FISHING!! The boys went fishing in a pond and Luke caught his first fish. He was so proud!
Favorite 8: PIE!! We had a virtual field day week last week. As students earned points, teachers would be pied in the face. I got pied twice – once by Jack and once by Luke! It was a blast, and delicious!
Favorite 9: POOL!! The pool is opening soon and I was up there the other day for a meeting. It was so nice to see the cover off and the bottom so clean! I couldn’t resist hopping in!
I know I’ve been pretty quiet for the second half of this week. My heart is sad right now. We haven’t been idle. We have been thinking. We are educating ourselves by listening and reading. I hope that the message of the protests will be the true start of a drastic change in our society. ❤️

What is the name of your town? My hometown Madison, Indiana was in the running! I love cute little downtowns. Did you stay at the beach? That looks lovely. I’m trying to figure out how to do a mini vacay,
Our town is Sykesville, MD. We did stay at the beach. My friend’s in-laws have a place here.
It’s so cute! I have thought about trying Cape May, NJ or somewhere like that but I think we have a 12 hour drive whatever beach we choose.

LOL. Your office view is very similar to a photo I typically post this time of year of “our classroom!” My boys and I just got hair cuts today; one at a time we went in to get our hair cut while the others waited in the car. I think I would have prefered walking around and getting ice cream though.
It’s the best view around!
